Emily (elp2012) Hi everyone,

I recently received an email from an author and I am not really interested in reading and reviewing the book. My Review policy clearly states that I may decline, but I never really put any thought into how to say no kindly. Any suggestions?

Sophia (Bookwyrming Thoughts) (hannahsophialin) | 346 comments Something along the lines of "I'm sorry, but your book isn't my type. Thanks for your interest though!"

I usually ignore though.

Shannon Thank you for your consideration. "Title of This Book" does not meet my current review criteria. Therefore I will decline your request.

*shrugs*

Emily (elp2012) Thank you both!

Emily D (fallingforya) | 7 comments I put this clause in my review policy:

Due to the recent high volume of requests I will only be replying to those emails with books I am interested in reviewing at this time.

That way I don't have to reply individually to all the requests, I only have to reply to those I'm interested in and those are much more pleasant e-mails to send!

Emily (elp2012) Totally stealing that (if it's ok with you) thanks!

Beckie (chikittie) | 10 comments Well put Emily. :) I to hate replying to review request that I care to read the book. Most times I don't reply back.
