How to decline a review request

Hi everyone,

I recently received an email from an author and I am not really interested in reading and reviewing the book. My Review policy clearly states that I may decline, but I never really put any thought into how to say no kindly. Any suggestions?

Something along the lines of "I'm sorry, but your book isn't my type. Thanks for your interest though!"

I usually ignore though.

Thank you for your consideration. "Title of This Book" does not meet my current review criteria. Therefore I will decline your request.

I put this clause in my review policy:

Due to the recent high volume of requests I will only be replying to those emails with books I am interested in reviewing at this time.

That way I don't have to reply individually to all the requests, I only have to reply to those I'm interested in and those are much more pleasant e-mails to send!

Well put Emily. :) I to hate replying to review request that I care to read the book. Most times I don't reply back.
