Loved the book...well and the 4 books afterward too. The movie was such a disaster! I think I found it on netflix. The special effects were bad and cheesy and the acting was terrible. Especially Meg...the actress drove me crazy.

I have not read these books, but it was interesting to see how many of my friends not only read it, but also gave it awesome reviews. I will for sure be looking into these books soon! :)
Oh wow! They are well worth the read! I read them in middle school and loved them. I used to own them and then I don’t know what happened, must have sold them or something (crazy!) I just got the box set for Christmas (again…) and will re-read them soon. I remember them being excellent. Plus they remind me of the Chronicles of Narnia…It’s Christian sci-fi for kids. In one of the books (Many Waters) the twins get transported back into the days of Noah…pretty interesting!
Interesting!! I know the title sounds familiar, and my sister read them...but I don't remember ever reading them. But I will be checking them out very soon for sure! Sounds like a fun ready!
I finally read this and have to say, it was pretty slow and lacking of action at times. I am interested to see how the new movie coming out will update and add to the story. The first time I saw the trailer it gave me chills, so hopefully it can really step up the action.
So uh....I've seen it three times now! Haha!
Only because I had three different people that asked me to see it, and since I have movie pass I figured it was worth it!
I have to say, they did a really good job with it. But, there were a few things I didn't like. The fact that they took away the singing world was a little weird, and I also didn't like addition of the neighbor. I get why they added her for the whole seeing how "the it" works, but it seemed unneeded. I was glad that they took out the amount of time Meg spent kind of blaming her dad for leaving Charles Wallace.

This was probably the only movie based on a book that I actually enjoyed. Well, the new one, anyways. It was definitely still really different from the book, but for the most part, it was overall a good movie. Plus, I went into it super open-minded. Now, if only I could do that with the Percy Jackson movies... *shudders*
I have the movie on my list waiting to be watched on Netflix
I didn't know it was made into a movie , but I read a summary of the book and didn't feel like it's my kind of fantasy.

Yeah, it's an strange "non genre" of sorts. Like I don't really know how to put it into a category, or compare it to other stories. But the movie is BEAUTIFUL!!!!! I could watch it on mute to enjoy the visual beauty alone honestly. The makeup and costumes are just next level
