Yeah me too! I actually didn't even know it was a book and I'd started watching the show haha. I've stopped the show but I want to read the book.

I will join, I tried to read this once and got a little into it. I would like to actually finish it and a chapter a day is good for me.

That was practically a chapter a day anyway, I just say we go for a chap a day, yes some may be smaller and be done quickly but then gives us more time to focus on other books.

Yeahp Drishti, a chapter a day from the 20th onwards. This'll be a long ongoing book haha.

Gonna start this one tomorrow. Chances are, we'll probably be reading 20 pages complete max a day, because the chapters are like ones that are halfway through pages so they're quite short. Hopefully everyone's clear on what we mean by chapters.

huh? I hope I can work it out when I got to read it :)

Okay I'm extremely confused. It seems the chapters have sub-chapters. Like, if we were going by sub-chapters, I'd have 3 chapters in 3 pages. Like, are we going by characters, or by sub-chapters. I don't even know how we're going to sort this out because it'll be confusing, and I'm due to start today.

I'm going to read a character, or section, a day, rather than a chapter, or like at max 3 pages. So you guys can decide what you'd want to do, but I'm going by characters or sections, so I'm not reading 1 pages a day.

Starting this now. I'll let you know the page I get to, so you have some indication of how much I've read and will hopefully catch on to what I mean about 'sections'.

I'm on page 9. What I read today was legit 3 pages describing (view spoiler)[the dome coming down. (hide spoiler)] I read 3 pages. Tomorrow I'm reading another 5 pages, the section called 'Barbie'.

I see what you mean, it's split into chapters which is split into characters which is split into sections.

Yeah exactly. So I'm reading a chapter, not a subsection, every day, which are still really short for now. And over the weekend I won't be reading for 4 days because I'll be with my boyfriend, so I'll have to catch up sometime. Hopefully the chapters are still small by then, because gradually they get larger. I came across a 40 page chapter by fluke in the middle of the book.

I'm not sure I'm looking forward to this when the chapters get to be like 50 pages long. The font is so small and the book so large, and I've got exams coming up. Also, after tomorrow, I won't be able to read for 3 days so I'll be behind then.

I'm reading too. I've been too busy so I've not been able to post. I've read till the section Junior and Angie. (view spoiler)[ When I read the title I supposed that the dome would be a hard surface which could not be broken and all. What I didn't expect was that it could be deadly. So, the deadly part was unexpected and really surprising.

Yay someone else is up to date too :p Gonna read my next chapter tomorrow. It'll probably be the last day that I'm up to date with. Or I might read ahead tomorrow so that when I have the book back on Tuesday I'll be up to date still :p

Chances are I'll read it tomorrow along with tomorrow's chapter. I don't wanna read this book in bed because I'll crease it - it's really flexible.

Good on ya Julia, leaving Dodee. Reaaallll smart - she even knew she shouldn't. Weird how the Colonel's phone call got through and how he wants to speak to Barbie...
Conference: Jim just really annoys me, always thinking he knows best. And I can't remember who Randolph is. Is he First Selectman, or whatever they're called?

@Maddison, we haven't met Junior's mother yet. But, we have sort of been introduced to her through Junior's memories of her. Through these memories I felt that she is a nice person.

And yes, it's getting confusing as I feel that we have virtually been introduced to half the town.

Peter Randolph was (view spoiler)[ the Assistant Chief. He became the Chief when Duke Perkins (the former Chief) died due to that pacemaker accident near the Dome. (hide spoiler)]

Up to The Good of the Town, The Good of the People
(view spoiler)[ It is definitely weird that Colonel's call could reach Julia Shumway but nobody in the town could make contact outside the Dome. I think that maybe the secret is related to some high tech equipment or something.
Anyway, I want to know what relation Colonel and Barbie share that Colonel made a special call to get in touch with him rather than the town administration.
Jim Rennie is definitely too full of himself and is insanely overconfident. No doubt about that. And, he is a reputation-minded person. It feels to me that he proposed Junior's name for police service so that his reputation which had been affected by Junior's ill behavior could be sort of restored if Junior served in the police force in the time of a crisis.
