Should I Read This?

Red Queen has been on my TBR list forever. I'm starting to consider if I should read it or not. Now that the hype has died down, a lot of people don't like this book. What's your recommendation?

I would totally go and read this book as it is a great plot and the characters are amazing. I personally really enjoyed this book and I would definitely still read it even if people say they don't like it because you might end up enjoying it yourself.

If you like books similar to The Winners Curse, or The Wrath and the Dawn (different characters, plots, settings, everything-- but the same feel comes from both series) then I would recommend this book to you. Personally, I had a lot of fun reading this book. There's a love triangle that's so obvious it hurts but I think that the characters and story are really so grappling, that in the end you don't care about the love triangle but instead you're enamored with the characters and how they end up and how the love triangle flatlines and dies- because there is some serious shit that goes down ngl.

But love triangles are touchy subjects for me. If you don't even care, then all the more reason to read this book. You may find that you really enjoy it!

It was amazing. And this is from someone who hated Winner's Curse. I couldn't even finish it it was that painful. Truthfully I think a book closest to this would be the equally wonderful Snow Like Ashes. Very similar plot and one of the best recent YA books. It's sadly a bit underrated.

I would suggest yes. I really enjoyed the premise of the book and I found the main character relateable. However like most YA there is the romance part with the crushing on someone but someone else loves you, the love triangle bit. Other than that I found this book highly enjoyable and I am burning for the next book.

it seems like this book is getting a lot of negative reviews i'm confused too should i read it or not !

Yes! read it! just go into the world without knowing much and just enjoy! It is a beautiful masterpiece, cannot wait until Glass Sword!
