I. Author Interviews!

Looking for Author Interviews
I would say so too...Nothing as exciting as clicking on the notifications button only to find out that there are members on here who can post at warp speed.
Author interviews, other than those published in well-established newspapers, magazines, and trade publications, are seldom read; other than by the person interviewed, and do nothing to enhance a book's commercial viability.
@JimDo you think Vinny knows this?
It looks like he really believes that people are going to click on every link he provides them with.

Katerina,
Mr. O'Hare promotes such interviews on at least two literary websites of which I am aware.
I believe the purpose is to allow the author to enjoy a brief ego trip and hopefully, while reading and sharing their own interview, they and their friends will also peruse the many advertisements posted by self-professed publishers, agents, editors, publicists, etc. on the website in which the interview appears.

Spam and ego go together like ham and eggs.
Katerina wrote: "So while some of us are enjoying a brief ego trip, the rest gets bashed over the head with...spam."I am not following what you are talking about. Where is the spam?
Quoted from Wikipedia:"Electronic spamming is the use of electronic messaging systems to send unsolicited messages (spam), especially advertising, indiscriminately. While the most widely recognized form of spam is e-mail spam, the term is applied to similar abuses in other media: instant messaging spam, Usenet newsgroup spam, Web search engine spam, spam in blogs, wiki spam, online classified ads spam, mobile phone messaging spam, Internet forum spam, junk fax transmissions, social spam, television advertising and file sharing spam. ...
...Usenet convention defines spamming as "excessive multiple posting", that is, the repeated posting of a message (or substantially similar messages)."
Maybe this helps detecting the spam!
I don't know what you are talking about when it comes to spam. Here is the deal. We have authors come to our site after seeing this post on Goodreads. After we publish the author interview we link it back here so they can see it and share it with their fans.We publish the interviews from the day before around 8am here in the thread. There is no unsolicited messages. The links posted here are not for everyone to click on. It is for the author to find their interview. If you don't like it why are you following the thread?
I am sorry but I am trying to help authors and don't really appreciate being called a spammer.
Now that that is out of the way. Any author that would like to be interviewed just fill out this form. Your interview will be posted on our site, sent out to our email newsletter, our social media, and be placed in this thread so you can find it. http://bookreadermagazine.com/feature...
