Gwen looked behind her and screamed as she ran away, but than stopped short, turned back around, and just looked at the man that had come up behind her.
"Sorry, I thought you were someone else," Gwen said embarrassed and a little scared due to the fact that she just risked her life because she thought she saw someone who had been dead for two months.

"Why are there so many?" Emmy said frustrated
"Got me, Just kill them," Patrik replied drowing on as he stood.

Morgan laughed, tossing her long black hair over a shoulder. "Not us. They could never kill us."
Gwen moved to where she could still keep an eye on the strange man while watching the battle.

"Oh please," Morgan said, rolling her eyes.
"I'm Ryder Roderick," he said, staring deeply into Gwen's eyes. "And this is my girlfriend, Morgan McAllister."
"Way to crush the poor girl's fragile hopes," Morgan said, absently toying with the sleeve of Ryder's shirt.
"That's my MO," Ryder told her. "Crushing the hopes of poor little girls."
Morgan smiled. "Crush my hopes and I crush you."

Emmy smiled as teh last of The Shadows dropped to teh ground, burnt to a crisp, the gloow from her tattoo's dying down. Patrik straightened up running a hand through his hair, his eyes swirling back to their normal color. Liv laughed and skidded to a stop next to Rife who was grinning and fist pounded her. Then the Lyrs walked back to Gwen and the two new people were standing.
"Well, excuse me," Gwen said picking up Ryders arm and moving it off her shoulder, "But my dreams aren't crushed and they have nothing to do with you, but I commend you for trying." She finished with a little smile. "And the names Gwen, not 'poor little girl.'"

Ryder shrugged. "Whatever you say. How old are you?"
Morgan laughed and gave Gwen a scornful look. "And what is your power?"

"Can we help you?" Emmy asked stepping forward
"18, and why does everyone always ask me that," Gwen said exasperated. "Do I look like I have powers, but I do, although I don't call it a 'power,' I call it a gift. I can persuede people."

Ryder snorted derisively. "I wasn't coming onto her. First off, she's what? Twelve? I'm not a cradle-robber. Secondly, I'm practically engaged."
Morgan's smoky eyes went wide. "You are?" she squeaked. "That's news to me."

"True," Liv said pointing at him.
"Hello, I'm right here, and I already said I'm 18, an adult, unless your self-centered mind can't process that," Gwen said indignant.

"You persuade people?" mocked Ryder. "Really? Well, little girl, guess what. I incinerate people."
Gwen blushed a little, she hardly ever lost her temper, but this guy just irriated her.

Then he added to Morgan "Very cool power,"

"I'm Emmy, that's Patrik, Rife and Liv" She pointed at each of them in turn.

Ryder, also laughing, managed to get out, "You aren't even into the double digits!"
"Go back to daycare," Morgan said, kneeling to their level. "Didn't you ever hear about what happens to pups who try to run with the big dogs?"

Gwen, very carefully, walked toward them. "Ok guys, lets not fight. Just settle down and we can work things out." She already knew she couldn't pursuede Rose and Lilly, so she decided to try Morgan and that jerk whom she didn't care to remember his name. Her blue eyes stred into theirs, glowing intensely

"Well I'm bored," Emmy said "Now if you wouldn't mind don't talk to us again," She turned and led the Lyrs away from Morgan and Ryder
"Fine," Gwen said and walked over to Rife. "Let's go." She glared at Ryder.
