Josiah sat down
"I need something to do." he decided

"Shush," Divya hissed. She knelt beside Salem. "Can you hear me?"

Josiah glanced around, Patrik was nowhere in sight. Which struck him as odd. Patrik was always there. That was one of Patrik's personality points, especially where the girls were concerned.
"Huh..." he muttered keeping an eye on the four people that were in his immdeiate line of vision.
Even in sleep everything ached. Her every breath burned and she could sense the slight change in temperature when someone moved. her head hurt with all the information that was simultaneously getting put in it.

Salem's expression grew pained and frustrated, almost as if she wished to not be asleep, as if she thought being awake would somehow be better.
Fallon stood against the wall watching her sisters and wishing she could do something for them.

Josiah sat down next to her and put his hand on her head.
((Farrow??))
Emmy cringed at some unseen force. Power hurt, it hurt a lot, and it seemed more than willing to remind her of that.
Patrik walked in, he came to a stop beside Farrow and closed his eyes.

Salem sighed, body tensing.
Farrow looked siddeways at Patrik and then back to the scene in front of her.

Josiah's hands were gentle.
Emmy jolted awake, not too soon after she sorely regretted it.
Patrik looked at Farrow then moved to sit next to Emmy.

Salem whimpered, eyelids clenching further closed. Her lips parted and she gasped.
Farrow just continued to watch them all for a moment. She then went to the kitchen and began making drinks.

Salem whimpered, eyelids clenching further closed. Her lips parted and she gasped.
Farrow just continued to watch them all for a moment. She then went to th..."
((OMG HEY YOU TWO!!! IVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH!!!!))
Josiah closed his eyes, his heart aching at the sound. He wanted her to wake up, or atleast have there be some way for him to help.
Emmy glanced at Salem and her brother, and she hated the looks that were on their faces. It was pain, each with their own perspective pain. She felt awful for unleashing this on her best friend.
"Emmy..." Patrik said in that cool voice of his. She loved the sound of it, it reminded her of rain.
"What are you doing?" he asked placing his hand on her hip as she went to stand up.
"I need to get out of here for a while," Emmy said in a raspy vioce, that reminded even herself of crackling flames.

((gawd, I missed these characters.))
Farrow jumped, startled, when one of the twins awoke. She quickly left the room to go and settle the child.
Salem's hands grasped at Josiah even as she remained in the dark. This instinctive search for her love gave her body a way to expend energy.

Josiah wmanuvered his body underneath hers and draped his arms over her shoulders.
"You shouldn't," Patrik said in that tone he used to reason with her.
"Why not? Please, I can't be here anymore. I can't," she was pleading with him. Her eyes had a metallic silvery edge surrounding the dark grey her eyes naturally were, but there was something in them that Patrik couldn't identify.

Salem relaxed a little into Josiah's body, a soft sigh escaping her parted lips.
Farrow sidled back into the room with a tiny bundle in a green blanket. She moved to a chair and curled her legs beneath her as she sat with her nephew in her arms, humming to him quietly as he sucked on her pinky.

"Are you alright?" Patrik asked hating the look in her eyes
Emmy put her palms against her temples and pressed, closing her eyes
"It hurts, God it hurts."

Farrow felt like she was eavesdropping on Patrik and Emmy's conversation but it didn't bother her. Since when would learning information she probably shouldn't know be something she didn't want to do. And this time it wasn't even intentional. She wasn't about the kick a gifthorse in the mouth. Unless the baby started wailing again. Then she'd be likely to march over to them and deposit the little bundle right in one of them's arms.

Josiah leaned back, rested his head on his free hand and let the other trace small shapes on Salem's burnig skin.
Patrik went to put his hand on her arm, before his hand even reached her his hand was burning. Yelping he snatched his hand back.
"What the hell?"

Divya picked her up. "I don't really know."
Rhea's dark eyes grew round. "How do you not know? You're a big sister! Big sisters know everything!"
Divya smiled. "No they don't, Rhea."
"They don't?" Rhea sighed. "Then who does?"
"Nobody, really. But together, we have a lot of knowledge. And we're always learning new things."
"So one day, will we know everything?" the little girl asked.
"You'll have to wait and find out," Divya answered her calmly.
Rhea frowned. "I don't like waiting."
THAT SOUNDED LIKE A SCENE FROM THE STORY.
Anyway...
Ravi quietly sat down beside Josiah and Salem, trying not to watch them.

Josiah leaned back, rested his head on his free hand and let the other trace small shapes on Salem's burnig skin.
Patrik went to put his hand on her arm, before his hand even..."
Farrow's head snapped up, her eyes immediately catching the scene. "What's going on?"
Salem shivered in his embrace.

Divya shrugged. "From various places...probably had a long journey."
"But why are they all here? What are they doing?"
Divya sighed. "I don't know everything!" She tried not to snap. Ever since Amma's accident, I'm expected to know everything. I'm just twelve years old!
She shook her head. "Come on, let's get Anjali and Rohan and go sit somewhere."

I'm sorry if it seems like we're ignoring you.))

Livva burst into the house, almost collapsing with fatigue. Sweat poured down her face and every breath of air was a struggle.
"Livva!" Strong arms grabbed her as she fell- Carmen.
"We're safe now. We're fine," Elise whispered to her.
"I'm - not - a - child," Livva gasped. "We're - not - okay."
"No, really." Elise's silky hair brushed her cheek.
I've failed all of you, Livva thought. This'll prove Robert's point - people living in the mortal world become outsiders forever.
The faces of the older children faded away as she fainted.
"Told you that was useless," Robert pointed out. "We didn't get the mirror. Livva's only twelve. She can't take it."
Carmen glared at him. "Just shut up. She can do it, okay? There's something about her."
Elise nodded. "Livva can save us. It's NOT a fairytale fantasy," she snapped at Robert. "She's special."

"Emmy..." He murmured quietly trying to keep her under control.
Emmy ignored him and moved towards the new commers.
"I should hve sensed them" She said to hrself
Josiah tensed up his eyes going immediately to his children at the sound of people

Farrow rolled her eyes. "After what you went through, you're on power overload right? That's probably why. Don't freak on yourself."
Salem froze in his arms, her eyes snapping open. "Josiah..." she whispered. "People are here?"
