"Naw, thanks to you." he was soon done.
Salem was restless and went to put her plate in the sink, her steps bouncing and light, jittery even.

"Don't mention it," Rofe chuckled "Ever.."
Emmy walked up behind Salem "We own the 150 acres around here. It's warded to the best of our ability. You can go for a run."

"Okay.."
She nodded in releif. "Thank goodness, and you of course. I'll be back....sooner or later."

Rife laughed sitting down.
"Don't worry about it. Just stay in the wards. I can sense you if your there." Emmy said

"I'll try to," Salem conceded, waving as she stepped out the front door.

"Thanks." Emmy said plunking down on the chouch.

Shadow took off into the trees, never once colliding with one nor making a single noise.

Liv smield and handed the glass panel to Blaze
"Does it work for you?"

"What does it do?" he asked, looking at the 'screen'.

"Cool, touchscreen?"

"SOmething like that," Patrik laughed.

"Cool!"
((how do the wards work?))

"Oh hells yes!" Liv said happily
((They just keep the Shadows out.And thats how far emmy's sensing goes. So if she can sense you she can protect you...))

"It working?" Liv asked

((Salem is going to be rebellious...dundunduh :P))
He nodded feverishly. "It's so much cooler than tv."
Shadow stopped running breifly, taking in her surroundings.
((how would she know where the edge of a ward is?))

((lol and she will feel it. Like getting out of a warm bath.))
"Perfect." Liv smiled

"It's like..a big iPod touch, but better."
Shadow stepped forward and immediately feltthe coolness. "This must be where the ward ends.." she mused, shrugging. "It looks safe enough.." She started walking again, sticking close to the warmth of the ward, but completely outside it.

"Yeah, and much much more advanced." Liv said
Emmy didnt' notice when Salem stepped outside the Ward.

"Much, much more." he felt like a nerd, but really..he wasn't. Not that much.
After ten minutes of straight and careful walking, she took off again, edging away from the ward with each step. "Sorry Emmy."

He fooled around, finding many things of interest on it.
Shadow finally stopped, dropping to the ground without a second to think about it. She just stretched out on her back, the beginnings of tears on her stormy eyes.

Liv scooted closer to him, curious to see what he was doing.
Patrik tilted his head "What?" She waved a hand at him still trying to focus.

Blaze grinned. "What?"
It was getting colder and she was sure that this was not because of the ward. Salem shook with pent-up cries and broken tears slid down her cheeks with a burning sensation that left her breathless.

Liv looked at it.
"Wow. It's really nice." She spun it so she could see the whole thing.
"She isn't in here anymore." Emmy said "I told her.."
"She went outside the Wards?" Patrik asked looking at her
Emmy nodded.
"Well shit."

Blaze grinned. "I know,eh?"
Teeghan frowned. "What are the wards? And what's so bad about going outside them?"

"What's it called?" Liv asked
"They keep the Shadows away. Keep us safe if they do. I can sense you up to 150 acres away that's the extent of my powers. If you step outside them and have enough power like Salem does they will end up sensing you." Emmy explained

"It's called Carinn, it's the capital of Carindae."
"Well shoot, that's not good." Teeghan said, distressed and clearly displeased with her friend.

"My thoughts exactly. If Sahdows come we are screwed." Emmy said getting pissed off the temperature in the room rising a little.

"Don't the shadows have to stay outside the wards?"
((BRB))

"Sounds amazing." Liv said trying to imagine it.
"Not if there are enough of them. We can only do so much." Emmy said standing up raking a hand through her hair.
((I'm here now!))
Elly bit her lip. "Do you want me to go look for her? I can sense her, too. If I'm close enough."
((Yay, my chance for Ellis drama!))
A voice sounded near Salem. "Say... come find me..." It was taunting, and seemed to come from close to her.
Sean still hadn't woken.

Teeghan sighed angrily. "What the hell is wrong with her, she needs to learn how to listen!" she whisper shouted.
Salem sat up carefully, not bothering to wipe the burning tears from her cheeks. "I don't want to."

"Maybe you could get to see it again one day." She mused.
Emmy chuckled darkly
"Yes, that she does. Preferably before I go crazy."
The voice sighed. "Do you hate me now, Salem?" It sounded sad.

"What do you think? Wait here for her or wait and then go drag her non-listening ass back here?" Emmy asked eyes switching to silver.

Blaze smiled again. "That's great!"
"Um..." Teeghan stuttered. "Whichever one turns out better for you."
"I'm here. I'll always be here. Right behind you. Waiting." It was a promise, maybe even a threat. "Waiting for you to finally change your mind... waiting for you to finally make the right decision."
"Please," Elly said, "I want to help. I'm so sorry that you can't trust me. You have all the reason in the world to distrust me. But I want to help. Please let me help, somehow." Her eyes were sad and pleading, desperate.
