She might end up mentioning it, and I didn't want it to come as a surprise to you, so... yeah.

Just found out about Cobra a couple years ago, actually, and that was because of Sean. I don't work for them." Except for finding people... she thought, momentarily forgetting that her thoughts weren't private around these people.

"I can sense them, okay? And they come to me; they can't help it. They're attracted to me or something. I can't help it! I didn't want to... but I have to do what my parents say." She put on a mask of regret.

"Yeah. I know. Thanks..." He sighed and shook his head, looking at Lizzie. "I guess now I know what I was feeling. Because, I still feel... like I want to help her out and keep her safe, I guess..."
She nodded curtly and turned to look through the rain. To see if she could see what she was looking for.
He looked back at Shadow. "Are they close?"
"No." she whispered; that wasn't what she was looking for.
"What is it?" He was glad to have something to distract him from thinking about Lizzie.
Shadow shook her head, her damp curls sticking to her cheeks. "It's not- it's not important."
Sean reached for her hand. "Okay."
Lizzie turns to look at them, the rain washing her tears away. She hated the rain. Her face twisted into a scowl as she saw the tender expression on Sean's face as he looked at Shadow.
