Perhaps this is the right folder.

I'm curious about the Scholastic Books that had a red (blood) splatter on the spine with Horror/Thriller/Suspense inside. Was this a type of series or just the genre of book? The book I'm looking for had one, but I don't think it was specifically a Point Horror or Fear Street.

I thought it was fear street or Christopher Pikes books but, after pulling them out did not see blood on the spine. It may be Diane Hoh "Nightmare Hall" series but I don't have any of them to check the spine.

I'm thinking it was just the genre id. Plus I think that I've located the book in question. I appreciate all the feedback

The Vampire's Promise by Caroline Cooney. I'm almost certain by finding a picture of the original cover. Haven't received the book yet, I'll update after reading it.
