I like it! It is interesting to see the chronological list. And all those volumes of short stories - I'll have to add one of them to my short story list :)
Good challenge, Gill - I haven't read any of Graham Greene's books, although I do own an old copy of The Quiet American, as yet unread. I hope you enjoy your challenge!
Books I have read in the last few years:The Comedians 1966
The Third Man 1949
The Quiet American 1955
The End of the Affair 1951 (possibly, I need to double-check this one)Yes, this is the one I've read recently.
LauraT wrote: "Interesting challenge Gill! I may follow you with some other of his books ..."Yes, I might jump onboard for some as well!
Nice idea Gill! I hope it works for you as well as my Dickens one is doing for me. It's lovely to have others join in (and I might well do here, with a couple, if that's OK.) Mine was originally over two years but looks like being extended even further :D
Thanks for all the comments. If anyone wants to join in for any books, that would be great. Mind you, I think it will take me a bit of time to sort this out!

Books I have possibly read many moons ago. I need to check these out:A Burnt Out Case 1960
The Heart of the Matter 1940
The Power and the Glory 1948
How lovely Gill! That does give me a nice warm feeling! What's so fantastic about the way mine is working out is that others are joining in both for the actual reads, and to comment whether they're currently reading it or not.
I never expected much interest really, so it's a complete surprise and is just great! You're right, I'm really enjoying it. Plus of course, I have somewhere to put my thoughts on Dickens or anything relevant I want to record. :)
I do hope you get "surprise bonuses" from yours too :D

Glad to see that so many are available in an accessible format! :)I listened to the audiobook (on CDs) of Our Man in Havana, which I found excellent so I can recommend Jeremy Northam's narration.
Great challenge. I really enjoyed Brighton Rock bit I've not read anything else by him
Thanks, Leslie and Heather.I think I'll sort out a couple to read this year, then for 2015 a few more (maybe alternate months?)
Jean wrote: "I'd like to join in with Our Man in Havana when you get to that one, as I have it in Large Print :)"That's good, Jean. I think I'll be reading that one this year, just need to sort out my other one for 2014 also.
I have two Graham Greene books but you have read them recently...The Quiet American and The End of the Affair. Would you recommend them, Gill?
Shirley wrote: "I have two Graham Greene books but you have read them recently...The Quiet American and The End of the Affair. Would you recommend them, Gill?"I read The Quiet American years ago but would be interested in rereading it Shirley. Let me know...
The End of the Affair I thought was very good - my short review is here.

I must clarify that my intention is NOT to read everything that Graham Greene has written.
My intention is firstly to identify which I have actually read. Several of these were many years ago, when I didn't really like his books.
Then I want to sort out which I am going to read over the next few years, and a provisional running order. So this will be very much a work in progress!
