The local kids call it the Mouth of Hell or Satan's Maw; and they're not far wrong. The old copper mines on the outskirts of town are, in one word, creepy. The rickety wooden entrances, marked with sun and wind and age, creak like the bones of old ghosts. The shadows in the shafts are thick and dark as mourning clothes--there are no lights in the passages, anymore, and no voices to fill them (unless, of course, you happen to believe the folks who say the place is haunted.) You have to watch your footing, or you could fall for miles down through the pitfalls and weak spots that pepper the area. This is a very dangerous place, all in all--so naturally, it's a common hangout for daredevil kids, drunk teenagers, and anyone who just needs a quiet place to hide; and that includes Dreamwalkers who need to talk about what the hell is going on in the Dream out from under scrutiny of parents' eyes and ears.
