Al "Tank" (alkalar) | 280 comments Pirates (Nastragull #1) by Erik Martin Willén Pirates. I reviewed this recently.

This one is about space pirates and is actually quite raw. Real pirates aren't romantic, they're usually nasty people, even in the Spanish Main days. Murder and slavery were just two of their occupations. They were summarily hung for a very good reason.

Well, this book falls back on the behavior of real pirates and launches them into space. Not for the squeamish who are looking for the "romantic" version.

It was a bit disturbing to me and I had trouble reading parts of it. But I can't fault the author for a lack or realism.

I picked it up on a free offer (an eBook).

I thought that's what the originator intended. His/her absence doesn't change the notion. Go for it!
