Thanks, Yicheng, though I don't know if I'd call this a promotion so much as a logistical move, since both Cara and I have been asked to lend a hand with this wonderful growing group. :)
Folks, I want to let you know that I'm going to divide the Promotion folder into two categories. *please note: I am leaving the original PROMOTE YOUR BOOKS / PROMOTION folder in place and cutting PROMOTION from it so what will remain in here will be posts relating to promoting each other, each others' works, our own promotional material, etc.
OPPORTUNITIES
-this folder will be for anything to do with opportunities, i.e. blog guests, guest posts, collaborative projects -- anything you want to share with each other that are some great opportunities for promotion or co-promotion
PROMOTIONAL STRATEGY DISCUSSION
-this folder will contain topics relating to discussing promotional tactics, or strategies, or plans, or pros/cons

Thank you, John! I'm glad you're an organized person. I make no promises to tidy up, at least not before the contest is over! :)

Cara, I love doing this kind of stuff, so it's a role I'm happy to carry on if you prefer not to worry about it.

Inkshares is a community that deserves some kind of special respect, since it succeeded in NOT tearing itself apart and have friendly, funny, and supportive people. I would try to describe everyone with unique adjectives and funny verbs, but then I would have to get a thesaurus. There's too many! :)
Jokes aside, I feel like it's a good thing. Besides...you get bragging rights.
Well, thanks, Yicheng, I appreciate the sentiments. I am reserving all bragging rights, though, for when and if I hit 2,501 pre-orders, because that's quite a feat for a nobody to do...which is why I work so hard to bring people together. The best part about this all is not only can I succeed, but I can help many people with similar goals. This is good community, and I'm happy to be on board here adding my energy to keep this growing.

I believe you can, heck, you had hundreds of preorders already. It's like scaling mount. Everest. Hard, but not impossible.
Besides, you aren't a nobody, you got your short story in a published anthology, remember? Good luck.

One of the things I'm going to do occasionally (and Cara or Joe might do this too) is moved topics around and possibly create some organization to the growing list of topics here. Just in case you're trying to find a thread, what I'd like to do is have us write here whenever we move something / create something, so that if you're finding the thread you thought was, say, in general, has vanished, you know where it might have moved.
