Could someone please tell me what exactly is Buddy Read?
I have no idea what the buddy read, but I'm assuming we're paired with someone to help us read outside of our comfort zones? I would like to sign up.

Yes you are paired up and then both of you mutually decide on a book/s to read and discuss. You can read inside or beyond your comfort zones, it's up to you :)

It's basically an activity in which two people read a book/s together. Most groups perform this activity in a different way. However, here, each sign-up is randomly paired up with another sign-up and they both decide on a book/s to read and discuss together.
I'd love to buddy read, too. Please count me in.:)
