My default genre has been murder mysteries since I picked up my very first Agatha Christie. In the MANY years since then, I've read a collection of authors and mysteries that were funny, creative, gory, creepy, heartbreaking, wonderful, educational...etc. With the number of books under Mr. Patterson's belt, it would make sense that I've read plenty of his. Turns out...not so much. He's a bit more brutal that I can handle. (I know, murder mystery that isn't brutal? what does she want?)
But lately I've felt like I've wimped out on the reading challenge. Reading books that were short and/or easy. This was neither. And...here's a pseudo spoiler for you...he doesn't catch the bad guy at the end. Argh.
