ABANDONED. a Collection of Science-fiction short stores

So I'm trying to remember a book that contained various short stories of science fiction but I don't remember the name or the author what I do remember is this :
- The book itself had a purple cover
- There were stories like
- A man tired with his life has an opportunity from am alien force to end it in 72hours
- A young man learns the erie powers of origami from an old master but he almost loses his own sister
- The world is in the cold war era about to wage world war 3 when an humanoid like alien hybrid race disables all nuclear weapons and offers the human race an alternative energy source. One man that works at a power plant figures out that the alien's true intentions are not pure and fails at stopping them .
