Do you like the Love Triangle?

I wonder if it was too much like other books. Any thoughts?

It bothers me because they could go with either boy and the other would be crushed. Especially because they're both good for her.

No it's to played out. I like a strong background story, I don't like a girl to go between 2 guys. Especially when its obvious who she will pick in the end. There all to common in books and I think it makes the female characters seems weak and foolish, too dumb to JUST PICK A GUY ALREADY. But hey, that's just me

To be honest I'm pretty much done with the whole love triangle thing. Between The Hunger Games, Twilight, The Host, Matched, etc. They have become overused in the last few years. I know that people enjoy a little drama over love but honestly, does it always have to be a stupid triangle? In all of these the woman is the one caught in the middle, as the weak one who apparently has no live outside of her little triangle of boys. Why is it never the guy in the middle? Oh yeah its because when the guy loves 2 women its no big deal but when it the girl its like the end of the world.... I don't want to read a book where its all about the love problem I want a book that has a real story line.

i think that we have to remember why there are often love triangles in books like these. i think that there's a need to hold our lead to the past since that is all she knows and it's safe when things are so uncertain...yet the other person -in this instance Ky - he's there to show what is still out there that's different than what you already know. to question things and not just accept.

i like that there was this story here - and similar to HG - the way that this one played out in the end was much better in the final installment than the others leading up to it. I feel like you get the true sense of what everyone can become and you ultimately don't feel bad for anyone - even though you want to.

No, not really. I'm kind of glad Indie's in there, but she'll make it worst. The love triangle was already horrible enough.

It does make the female seem very weak.
She's all like "OMG! I love him! But OMG, i love him more! BUT WAIT, he's even better! I just can't pick!"
Come on, let's think this through BEFORE we end up in a relationship with both of them. Seriously.

Kind of!!
But I hate Ky!

I hate how the whole book she cant just pick one!

I think it all depends on how the love triangle is written. Sometimes their done really well and you feel compassion for the person who has to choose between the people and sometimes they don't last through the entire book series (For example, Mortal Instruments the Jace/Clary/Simon storyline was resolved and didn't play a main factor to the story). Though, I agree with the more childish love triangles being annoying and overdone, to some extent.
