Daniel Haight | 8 comments I’m happy to say that what I said was met with mostly positive feedback. However a noisy minority of people took me to task for what they felt was a ‘libertarian / Pollyanna-like’ mindset and accused me of being blind to the struggles that real people are facing in the Bay Area these days.

I shared your post on twitter. It does go deep & I am not from the bay area (in-fact, I'm on the other side of the country), but you make a valid point, we do have a obligation to ourselves and our families to try to do what we can. Even if you don't have a family, you need to make the best choices for you. Look to the future, you know?

Jamie thank you for the re-post. I was getting a lot more hate from the Bay Area than I expected. The people who live here know they have to hustle to get or keep their jobs the market is just to fluid here. I had to learn those lessons growing up here, and I feel I should pass on wisdom when people ask.
