The Aladin comparisons were spot on and super sweet.
Despina! I DID NOT see that coming. Shows me I should stop judging characters fast. I really thought she was trying to murder her.
Jalal... I adore Jalal. And he knows... damn it, everybody knows but Shazi and myself at this point of the book. And it makes me believe that this is somehow a family secret.
"Let's all fall in love for the King because he's tormented, sad and sweet". - Week 2, A summary.
The King is mine xD
okay, I'n out of my mind again xD xD xD
Anyways, I agree, I was very suspicious about Despina at first (I loved her as a character because I am Greek too, not from Thebes but still).
Khalid will always be my fave, though, because I always had a soft spot for the Beast of the story<3 (The Beast from beauty and the beast was my first fictional crush probably xD)
Also, Jalal is sassy and fearless, probably the character that everybody loves<3

Yeah, Jahandar is SURELY nuts and I also have a feeling that something bad will happen with him as well. I think that he is kinda misunderstood as well, because he was upset for disappointing everyone:(

I just finished this morning and it rlly picked up for me towards the end!
It made me have the worst book hangover ever!! I want a bigger fandom for this book!!
Anyways, back to week two.
Well, the book totally gets A LOT better from here

But yes..the book does start off slow with the setting and I jumped into the book thinking it was just a stand alone..so I kept pushing my way through it and honestly..You can't put it down afterwards...
And I kinda didn't like Shahrzad for a bit around this time..nor her dad to be honest.
And 10/10 always pick Jalal!

I will fight anyone whoever says anything bad about this book.

As long as we get actual Muslim people to do it. I woulndn't even mind if I had to read subtitles. I could NOT cope with a white Khalid or something like that.
