Series didn't work when I clicked it

I added the second book in my series a few days ago, but every time I go in to try and add it to the existing series, it takes me back to my home page and the book doesn't get added to the series. Is there another step I need to take first, or is the button simply not working properly?

Iirc authors can't edit series only librarians can

But if you post the info one of us can fix it
