This was listed as a edition of "The Shipping News"
I separated it, deleted the isbn/isbn13, and added an edition of "The Shipping News" with these isbn/isbn13: https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/2...

Looking at the log ingram updated title: 'THE SHIPPING NEWS.' to 'Implementing Quality Improvement & Change in the Early Years' Jan 26, 2012

There are users who shelved it before that change and users who shelved it after. Question is what should their shelvings be merged to?

Is it sensible to ask them individually (there's 5 of them)?

lethe | 16368 comments I don't think the ISBNs should have been deleted. There are sites that mention this ISBN for this title.

See also https://www.goodreads.com/help/show/8..., specifically the third paragraph and the sentence in bold.

Ayshe | 3084 comments So you think I should delete the edition of "The Shipping News" I added, revert the ISBNs deletion and combine "Implementing Quality Improvement & Change in the Early Years" back to the "The Shipping News"?

lethe | 16368 comments No, I mean you should reinstate the ISBNs on Implementing Quality and delete them from the newly added edition of The Shipping News, noting in the description that it shares its ISBNs with Implementing Quality (as it explains in the third paragraph of the section of the manual I linked to).

Ayshe | 3084 comments Done, thank you, I think people who shelved it meant "The Shipping News", but I messaged them, so I guess we can leave it like that.

lethe | 16368 comments Great :)

Renske | 12223 comments The ISBN should not have been removed from the edition, but the change of the title should be reverted. The book was original listed on Goodreads as "The Shipping News" so the change of the title was incorrect. If the other title has the same ISBN that edition should be added as an Alternate Edition for the ISBN.

Ayshe | 3084 comments I combined it with the other editions of "Implementing Quality Improvement & Change in the Early Years", so it's a bit confusing to me to track the edits that were done on this edition, but I am quite sure that there was no title change, where do you see it?

lethe | 16368 comments Ah, I think Renske means this:

"Looking at the log ingram updated title: 'THE SHIPPING NEWS.' to 'Implementing Quality Improvement & Change in the Early Years' Jan 26, 2012"

I seem to remember a case though where Rivka decided the title change was too long ago to revert again. Jan. 2012 is 3,5 years ago.

Ayshe | 3084 comments Ah, Renske, so sorry! I truly forgot about that, and I looked at the 'librarian edits' page but it didn't occur to me that it spans over a second one.
