Is this the new trend for publishing? I don’t like it

Jo For the past months, I got myself into some series of erotica romance, like Sawyer Bennett “Legal Affairs”, J S Cooper and Helen Cooper, “Ex Games” and “the Private Club” and now Elley Casey, “ Just One Night”. They are divided into different parts and published in weeks for each part.

It is too expensive for me to read the whole series, you know, each part cost around USD2.99 or something, if you want to get the whole book with all parts, you need to pay around USD10, it really expensive compare with the similar book, for example, the latest book of Kristen Proby, “Tied with Me” only USD 3.99

Don’t get me wrong, I loved those series, but I really found it is quiet expensive for me to continue readying, if it is the new trend of publishing books, then…. I will get myself out because I am budget girl with limited money to spend on books

Ebs I agree. I read the first part of the book because it was free and I was going to continue to read the rest but I saw how much it cost for each installment and I decided against it.
I read Sharing Space Series (Interracial Romance) by Nina Perez and it was first published as separate installments for like 2.99 each but then as a whole book for like 2.99 or something. I ended up waiting until it was published as a whole book for buying it. So maybe this series will do the same because I agree it does get too expensive.

Carole The worst offender is H.M. Ward with the Ferro brothers. She admitted that it is fan driven, in other words no set story, she just wings it.

Sounds like a way of gouging her fans.
I would rather give my hard earned money to authors who have a whole book or series thought out and are not piece mealing it out chapter by chapter.
