Kirsten (kmcripn) Audible.com's editors have created 12 college courses and required reading for the courses. Course #3 is The Gnostic Gospels.

Audible.com editor Christina H.: "I was lucky to have the person who wrote THE book on the Gnostic Gospels as my college professor. Even after writing this seminal text, Professor Pagels remained fascinated by the origins of Christianity – what happened after the death of Jesus that shaped a worldwide movement, and set it on the course it follows to this day. What paths did early Christianity turn away from?"

The books:

The Gnostic Gospels by Elaine H. Pagels
The Origin of Satan: How Christians Demonized Jews, Pagans and Heretics by Elaine H. Pagels

Lectures:
From Jesus to Constantine: A History of Early Christianity by Bart D. Ehrman
Gnosticism: From Nag Hammadi to the Gospel of Judas by David Brakke
Lost Christianities: Christian Scriptures & the Battles over Authentication by Bart D. Ehrman

So what do you think? Are you religious? Or do you just want to learn about religion? Any additions to the list?
