Jade laughed then she remembered something. "Oh! Isn't Simon a wizard?"

"Yep. He's about really tall and has great hair." Leo nodded. "He's my best friend."
"I don't trust him very much." Bae said as he read his book.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade smiled. "He has great hair huh? Well I think I might want to meet this 'great hair' Simon."

"Bae doesn't trust anyone." He said. "And yes you will be able to spot his hair from a mile away. It's brown and wavy. I live with him in a big giant house on a hill. It's probably destroyed now though because...never mind. I'm not supposed to tell you that." Leo said stopping his rant.

"Okay then. My house is in a tree. It's probably burned down by now too."

"Maybe I can ask Simon if you could live with us. Maybe he used his wizard magic stuff to fix it all." Leo smiled widely.
"I don't trust her." Bae mumbled.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade swatted at Bae. "And why not mister ghost?"

"Like the kid said I don't trust anyone." Bae said. "I'm his protector I'm supposed to protect him from stuff. Mister Ghost? I could get used to that."

"Well I'm no threat to him." Jade looked at Leo. "I don't think Simon would like having a talkative fairy living with him along with a ghost and a ten year old powerbind."

"But he's a really nice guy." He lied and his pants caught on fire. "Not again." Leo groaned.
Bae laughed as Leo patted it out.

Jade snickered. "Well, your pants caught on fire right after you said that, so I'm going to assume it was a lie."

"At least you know the reference." Leo mumbled.
"Simon would hate you like he hates everything else."
"I could beg. He can't deny this face." Leo pointed to his face and made puppy dog eyes.

"Aww! I don't think anyone could deny that face. But I think I can survive without a house until I find another tree. And it might not be burned down anyway."

"Okay. We wish you good luck, blah, blah, yada, yada." Bae said shifting into his adult form.
"Don't be rude Bae." Leo said. "Tell us if you need any help."

"I will, thanks. And I don't mind Bae. He's actually way more polite than my brothers."

Leo slung his bag over his shoulder, "Nice to meet you Jade but I think we better be going now."
Bae huffed as he finished his book and put it back.

Jade laughed. "Okay. It was nice meeting you." She said.

Bae glided out as Leo's hair caught on fire and with that they left the library.

Jade went back to reading her book.

Jade flew to the high shelves, looking for the next book of the series she was reading.

[Armina]

Parker walked into the library, gazing intently at all of the mythics at the various tables. None of them were Raven. He sighed softly. It didn't seem like he would ever find her. He walked over to the shelves, searching for yet another book on a new fighting style he hadn't learned. He might as well do something useful while he was here instead of leaving to do another search around the Haven.

((Just curious, which Raven?))

Jade finally found it and swooped down to her favorite reading chair, almost knocking over a boy in the process. She sat down and looked at him. "Sorry." She apologized.

[Armina]

((It's a different Raven than the ones in this group, actually. I made her up. I had thought of using that name before I noticed there were other Ravens. :D))

He pulled out a book on MMA Fighting, smirking. This would work. He opened it up to start reading when a fairy nearly flew into him. He stumbled back a few steps, catching himself before he fell over. "Hey! Watch where you're going!" he said, somewhat irritated and startled at almost being knocked down. He turned to look at her, slightly glaring.

Jade smiled apologetically. "Sorry. I've been looking for this book for literally hours. I'm just super excited to read it!" She squeaked, talking all in one breath.

[Armina]

He softened slightly at the smile, but didn't show it. "Fine." he said, with an irritated tone. "Just look where you're going next time...What book is it?" He was slightly irritated by her unfailing optimism and excitement. He realized he had dropped his book and quickly grabbed it, making sure no one else was looking before shoving it in one of the pockets inside of his coat with a slight smirk."They won't miss this." he assured her.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade rolled her eyes. "This is a library. You're allowed to take the books. And no, I'm sure they have a million other copies. And you've probably never heard of it before. It's by a human author."

[Armina]

"I'm not taking it to read." he replied, pulling a lighter out of his pocket to show her before putting it back. He had been planning on reading it and never returning it, but he would definitely burn it to prove a point. He had always enjoyed watching things burn, any way. He added, slightly offended, "You think I don't know about human authors? I've been in the human world for most of my life. Who is it? Shakespeare? Arthur Miller? Charles Dickens? Try me." He hadn't personally read many books on his travels, but he knew enough of them to show this girl he knew what he was talking about.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade gasped when he pulled out the lighter. She zipped over to him and grabbed the book and zipped back to her chair before he could react. "It's Brandon Mull."

[Armina]

"Hey, what gives?!" he shouted as she took the book from him. She marched right up to her in her chair, glaring. "Give it back. Or... I suppose I could just grab about five more off the shelf..." He trailed off, with a devilish grin on his face. "Brandon Mull? Let me guess...Fablehaven? Seems a little similar to our situation, don't you think?" he added, gesturing toward everything around them.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

"Actually, I finished Fablehaven forever ago. This is Beyonders. Good guess though!" She smiled. "And if you touch any of these books with the intent to burn them, I will burn you." She said, deadly serious.

[Armina]

"I haven't gotten the chance to read Beyonders yet." He smirked evilly at her new tone of voice. "Oh yeah?" He walked backwards, over to the book shelf. He grabbed the nearest book, saying, "Oh look, this one looks like it will burn nicely." He loooved picking fights, especially with people who decided to test him like this girl was. Hey, it was her fault for trying to act tough and take his book away.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade went and snatched the book away, putting back where it was before. She grabbed Parker's sleeve and pulled him away from the book shelves. "Show some respect for the books! If you want to watch something burn go find a dead tree and burn that!" She scolded.

[Armina]

He grinned, and couldn't keep from laughing. "You're really easy to irritate, you know that?" He cleared his throat and became more serious, pulling his arm away from her. "Don't tell me what to do! You aren't my boss. I'll burn this whole library down if I want to!"

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade scowled. "I am not! And you won't burn this library down. You know why?" Jade smiled sweetly at him. "Because I said so. That's why." She flitted back to her chair.

[Armina]

Parker was irritated that she doubted him. Couldn't she see that he wouldn't give this up? This girl was getting on his nerves. It was time to show her that he meant business. He quickly walked over to the shelves silently. He pulled out his lighter, lit it, and quickly placed it on top of some books before she could react. He stepped back, an evil smirk on his face. "I warned you." he replied, his voice deadly serious.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade waved her hand and a small raincloud put the fire out. She put her hand down and the cloud disappeared before it could get ruined by the water. "And now your light it's broken."

[Armina]

He glared at her, furious for having his plans (and lighter) ruined. He grabbed his lighter and shoved it into his pocket, even though it was broken. She had weather magic?! Totally unfair. All he had were wings, which he didn't even have anymore. "Why would you do that?! You destroyed it!...Good thing I have a spare." He whipped his other lighter out of his jacket. He grabbed a book and lit it on fire while it was in his hand. "I swear, if you mess this up again..." he let his threat trail off as he stared her in the eye. She could figure out the rest.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

She waved her hand again and it put the fire out without ruining the book. "Guess what buddy! You can't do anything to me. And quit burning the books. I'm sure some fire demon or something with love the charred books, but you're practically murdering! Plus, you have to leave anyway to go get a new lighter." She pointed out. "Because I broke them boooooth!" She sang. She turned away from him and started reading her book.

[Armina]

He gave her a look of pure hatred. That stupid comment about his lighters was the last straw. He shoved his now-destroyed lighter back into his pocket, done with trying to light things on fire. He saw that she had turned away. Good. She wouldn't see or stop what he did. He opened the book and tore out half of the pages, throwing them on the ground. "Whoops." he replied, with an evil grin. He didn't care about the books anymore. He just wanted to destroy a book or two to make her angry. She couldn't tell him what he couldn't do.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade heard a ripping sound and looked and the book he destroyed. "How to kill a fairy?" She smiled at him. "You're too sweet destroying that for me!" It wasn't really that, but she now strongly disliked him so she wanted to have a little fun. She flitted over to him and got right in his face. "You're just too sweet." She said through clenched teeth. She spun around, hitting him in the face with her wings and flew up into the floating portion for flying Mythicals. She sat down in a chair that was out of his reach.

[Armina]

He clenched his jaw when she hit him in the face and flew away. He was so done with this. He dropped the book on the ground, looking up to see where she had flown to. The Flying Mythicals Section!? He really wished he still had his wings, so he could fly up there and show her he wasn't someone to mess with. But, it gave him an idea. He put on a sad, yet irritated look, which wasn't hard, considering that's about how he felt. He yelled up to her, "Come on! That's not fair! I used to be able to get up there. I-I lost my wings." He pulled off his jacket so she could see the cut off stumps of his wings. He sat down on the ground while putting his jacket down, looking at the floor so she couldn't see his face. He actually felt upset thinking about it, which would definitely help. He hoped she would have some sympathy and come down to try to talk to him about it. He wasn't planning on hurting her, anyway. Not in a library. She wasn't actually evil, unlike some mythics around here.

[Emily ~Autumn, Winter~, HI BERT!]

Jade paused and looked at the stumps. She gasped. "Who would do such an awful thing!?" She exclaimed, scowling at the people who shushed her. She fluttered down, still out of his reach, but close enough to see the stumps clearer. She put her hands over her mouth and shook her head, horrified. "What happened?" She asked softly.

[Armina]

He sighed, hanging his head even lower to avoid looking her in the eye. "H-hunters. Hunters happened." He glanced around the library. "I don't really want to tell everyone here about it." He hoped she would get the hint and come closer. He could clearly see her hesitation. He actually felt more sad than angry for thinking about it. It reminded him too much of everyone he would never see again. Especially Raven. With that depressing thought, he grabbed his jacket, standing up to go sit in a corner. "I'm sure you only care about the books." he added with a slightly bitter tone as he began to walk away, avoiding her gaze.

Jade frowned, trying really hard not go after him. She knew he was probably acting, but her sympathetic won. She lowered herself to the ground and walked over to him. "I'm sorry. I- I didn't know. And honestly, would rather see this library burn down than see you think that books are more important to me than a person." She tried to catch his gaze, and when she finally did she gave him a sympathetic smile. "Sorry for telling you what to do. I didn't mean to make you feel bad. It just makes me feel a little sick to see perfectly good books go to waist. You know, trees and fairies and that stuff."

[Armina]

He gave a small smile when she caught his eye. Finally! He got the apology he wanted! Man, that took too long. He really wanted to rub it in her face that she practically said he could burn down the library, but he resisted. She had actually been pretty nice about it, so he thought he should at least be slightly nicer than he had planned. Plus, he'd bummed himself out thinking about his wings. He decided to reply, "Thanks. It's fine, I understand. And you telling me what to do didn't make me feel bad, it just made me really, really furious with you. I've been through some stuff. Don't tell me how to live my life. Plus, it's your fault for egging me on. Now, let's never talk about stupid things, like my life, again. I only brought it up to get you to come down here." He put his jacket back on, covering his wing stumps once more.

Jade laughed slightly and patted his arm. "Okay tough guy. We won't talk about it. But, just know that if you ever want to rant, I will listen without complaint. It's just one of the many ways in awesome!" Her eyes sparkled with amusement and she winked to let him know she was just playing.

[Armina]

"Hey, you fell for it. You practically begged me to burn some books. I heard it. Don't deny it." Parker replied, jokingly. If she could joke around, he might as well join her. He added sarcastically, "Awesome? Yeah, right. You won't even let me burn a few books. Buy me a new lighter if you want to even come close." He chuckled, smiling to show he wasn't serious. She wasn't actually that bad. He supposed a new lighter would be nice though, since she destroyed both of his. "Alright, can I ask you what your name is? I've heard I'm not supposed to talk to strangers."

Jade smiled. "I would gladly buy you a new lighter. And I didn't say you could. I said I would rather see the library burn than you feel bad. And my name is Jade. What's yours?" Okay, he burned and ripped books and was kind of annoying. But he wasn't al bad, and last time she checked, she wasn't super nice to books all the time either.

[Armina]

"You better get me a new lighter, those were expensive." he replied jokingly. "The name's Jason." he easily lied, "Nice-ish to meet you, Jade." He gave a smile. Jason was a fake name he gave to everyone. Jason Payne. He would never tell anyone who he really was, unless he knew that he could trust them with his life. So far, this girl seemed alright, but he could never really know. He'd only known her for five minutes, after all, and he wasn't quite overjoyed with what had happened. "So, what do you like to do besides try to knock people over?" he asked, smirking.

"I like reading, obviously. And one of my more recent hobbies is apparently destroying lighters and annoying boys that are at least two years older than me."
