"Of course I will, but not worrying about you is impossible." She said smiling. She laid back and look at Armina. "How bad does it hurt?" She asked as she turned on her side to face her better. "Did it start bleeding again?" She sat up quick and smiled. "Maybe there is a first-add kit here, maybe there will be pain killers for you. I can go look."

message 152: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina thought for a moment. She wasn't sure how to rate her pain, but she didn't want to worry Lapis. She responded, "Maybe like a 6 or 7 out of 10? It's hard to rate. It hurts more when I move, but if I stay still it isn't that bad." She gently lifted up her wraps to check on her injury. "It started bleeding a little but it's not that bad. It should stop soon." She sighed, unsure if she should have her try to find a first-aid kit. If there was one, it would probably be helpful, but she didn't want Lapis to hurt herself. She finally decided, "If you wanted to look for a first-aid kit, I would appreciate it." She looked up at Lapis, worried. "Just be careful, okay? If it hurts too much, don't worry about it. I'll be fine. If I hear anything, I'm running over to you as fast as I can, okay? We never checked the rest of the library for people, even if I didn't hear anyone in here." She gave a small smile. "Call for me if you need anything. You know where I'll be."

message 153: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well, I don't have to walk if I don't stay in this form. I can look around in my true form." She said as she stood up. Blue flames engulfed her and left a small blue flame creature floating, and lightning up the area aren't where lapis had stood. "I'll be right back. I'm going to look in back. I'll yell if I need anything." She said as she waved and left. The light she created leaving with her.

message 154: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments "Wow" Armina said, awestruck at Lapis's true form. She was beautiful. Armina had never seen a Willow-of-the-Wisp in person before, only hearing of them. She replied, "Okay, I'll be here." She was somewhat disappointed when Lapis and her radiance left, but her eyes quickly readjusted to the darkness. She was worried, but tried to assure herself that Lapis would be fine, waving back to her.

message 155: by [deleted user] (new)

Lapis went behind the checkout counter and moved things around, singeing what she touched. There was nothing behind the counter so she moved to the employees only room, witch she assumed was the brake room. She opened all of the cabinets until she found a large first-add kit. She pulled it out of the cabinet and headed back to Armina, the handle melting slightly as she carried it. She was completely oblivious to the person following her, who had been attracted by her light.

message 156: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina quickly sat up from her cushion bed. She could hear quiet footsteps. Had Lapis become human again? She wasn't sure. It didn't sound to her like the person was having trouble walking. Cautiously, she stood up and quickly started walking toward the sound, and Lapis. "Lapis?" she said, her voice taking on a worried tone, "What's going on?" She didn't think Lapis would become a human until she got back to their beds. She pulled out her machete as she speed walked.

message 157: by [deleted user] (new)

As lapis headed back she heard Armina call for her and ask her a question. "What do you mean?" She asked as she got closer to Armina. The person stop walking when they heard Armina's voice. They hid in the shadows and watched the two of them.

message 158: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina followed the sound of the footsteps until it stopped. She tried to walk faster until she finally caught up to Lapis, feeling a constant ache in her side. She was relieved to see that she didn't look hurt, but she wasn't sure how she could look hurt in her current form. She was still worried, since Lapis was not in her human form. She asked, with an edge of worry in her voice, "Were you human a second ago? I heard footsteps." She raised her machete defensively and quickly began to look around for any sign of another person.

message 159: by [deleted user] (new)

"No I wasn't. I've stayed like this since I left you. I didn't hear and footsteps, are you sure you heard that?" She asked as she looked around. "I didn't see anyone when I was looking around. Maybe it was your imagination. Let's go back and look through this, maybe we can find something useful." The person that was watching had silently climbed to the top of a book case to get a better look at the people she was watching.

message 160: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments How did Lapis not hear any footsteps? She could hear them clearly. Was it her imagination? She was pretty stressed out. No, it couldn't be. She never heard things unless they were real. "I-I could have sworn I heard them... I don't know. Maybe I am imagining things. Okay, we can go back and look through that. Nice find." She turned around and waited for Lapis to follow her before heading back. She didn't want to leave Lapis's side. She knew she had heard footsteps, but she didn't want to worry Lapis. There was no way she was going to let her guard down. She took one last look around before hobbling back with Lapis, lightly holding her side.

message 161: by [deleted user] (new)

"Okay. It's kind of heavy so there has to be something we can use." She said as she followed Armina back. Once the got back to they're temporary beds she placed the kit on the cushions and the flames unfulfilled her again and as the flames faded so did the light. She sat down, now human, and open the kit. She pulled out a few bottles and looked over the labels. "I don't know if these are pain killers but here." She said handing them to Armina.
The person quietly jumped across the top of the shelves and stop on the one next to them.

message 162: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina was somewhat happy to see Lapis turn human again. It was strange seeing her as a Willow-of-the-Wisp, and she didn't know if she would get hurt if she touched her. Although, she did miss her beautiful light and uniquely stunning appearance. She searched through the contents of the kit with Lapis, looking at the labels of the bottles. She looked at the one Lapis handed her, responding, "I think they are pain killers. Thank you." She took out the amount she was supposed to have and swallowed them. She could hear something again, very faint. She turned her head toward the sound, looking through the darkness. She wasn't sure what it was. It wasn't footsteps; it was more like a slight thump occasionally. The sound stopped near them, which made Armina tense with worry.

message 163: by [deleted user] (new)

She smiled at Armina, "No problem. I just hope they work." She said putting the bottle back in the kit and closing it. "Is something wrong?" She asked noticing how tense Armina was. The person swore under their breath and backed off a bit as she realized that Armina might have noticed her presence.

message 164: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina looked back at Lapis, trying not to look so tense. She sighed, gazing at the floor for a moment. Should she tell Lapis? Probably. If there was really a threat, she should know about it. Armina shifted closer to Lapis, her eyes looking toward the area that the sound had stopped. She turned and whispered to Lapis, "I really think that there is a person here. Near us. I heard those footsteps earlier and I heard something else now but I can't tell what it is." She paused for a second. "I don't know if they can hear us. I think they are over where I was looking, but I really don't know. I don't know what to do. I'm worried, Lapis." She lightly hugged her before shifting back to her bed and looking over at where the sound had stopped.

message 165: by [deleted user] (new)

"If you really think there is someone here than there probably is. You have good instincts." She whispered back. She glanced up to where Armina was starring, before looking back to her. "You don't have to worry, I'm sure it'll be fine." She said hugging her back. The girl on the case noticed them looking towards her. She jumper off of the case landing on top of Armina, a knife drawn. She put the knife against her throat. "Why are you two here?" She asked.

message 166: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina barred her teeth, growling slightly and staring coldly at the eyes of her attacker. She raised one arm defensively in front of Lapis. She snapped back, "I could ask you the same question." She thought about her injuries and tried to calm her attitude. She didn't want to get in a fight, since she knew she wouldn't be able to win. She sighed. It would probably be better to cooperate so the woman didn't hurt Lapis, or her. She debated how much to reveal to her. "I came to read some books. Everyone left. We just wanted to rest here tonight. We will be leaving in the morning." She hoped her injuries weren't that noticeable. She didn't want the woman to know she was weak. She gulped, eyeing the knife at her throat. "C-can you please put the knife down?" She tried to appear calm and confident, but she was faltering.

message 167: by [deleted user] (new)

The girl glared at Armina as she thought about her answer. "What are you not telling me?" She asked pushing harder on the knife, hard enough to draw blood. "Why would you need pain killers? And why did you decide to sleep in this library?"
Lapis picked up her cat and moved closer to Armina, but was carful to stay behind her. With her free hand Lapis grabbed on to the back of Armina's shirt.

message 168: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina winced as the girl pushed harder on the knife, feeling blood drip down her neck. She could feel Lapis move behind her. Good. Hopefully she was more protected that way. Armina thought for a second. If she didn't tell her about the attack, she might kill her. It looked like things were headed that way. Then she might hurt Lapis. She wanted to sigh, but couldn't. She glared at the girl and harshly responded, "Fine. Some jerks attacked us. We fought, and won. I was sore and tired, so I wanted to sleep it off. We thought painkillers would help." She refused to mention her injuries, or Lapis's. If the girl didn't know, that was better for them. Even if she didn't know now, she would figure it out if they fought. "Happy? Can you put the knife down, please?"

message 169: by [deleted user] (new)

"No. I am not happy. You fought two men right?" She asked taking pressure off of the knife. "Don't lie to me, I know you're hurt I will win if we fight." She threatened.
Lapis saw the girl relax so she decided to seize the opportunity. Quickly she reached over Armina's shoulder and took the knife out of the girls hand.

message 170: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina coldly replied, "Yeah. So?" She was happy that the girl lightened up on the knife. Her eyes widened as she saw Lapis take the knife away from her. Yes! She seized the opportunity, pushing the girl off of her. As she stumbled, Armina grabbed her machete off the ground, holding it threateningly in front of her. She listened for others, but it only seemed to be only the girl in the library with them. Armina glared at the girl. "What do you want with us?" She tried to keep her voice level, ignoring the girls comment about winning in a fight against her. She would do anything to make sure that girl lost.

message 171: by [deleted user] (new)

"With you? Nothing. We are after something else." She said getting up off the ground. She pulled out another knife and glared at the two of them. Lapis slipped the knife under the cushions so it would be harder for the girl to get it back. "If you want nothing to do with us then what are you after?" Lapis asked.

message 172: by Armina (last edited Oct 24, 2015 03:02PM) (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments ((Sorry! I got really busy! I'll try to update more often!))
Armina stiffened as she realized what the girl had said. "We? Who else is here?" She looked around quickly for others. The girl ignored her question and harshly replied to Lapis, "Isn't it obvious? I'm looking for the same thing they were." She quickly glanced around the room before walking closer to them. Eyeing Lapis, she stood farther away from her, on the other side of Armina. Glaring at both of them, she held up her knives, pointed toward Armina threateningly. "Where is the book?" Armina glared back at her. She wanted to avoid a fight, and to get more information about this book everyone was looking for. "What book? They never told us about any book." The girl cursed under her breath, yelling back, "You liar! The Book of Darkness! Filled with the most powerful demonic magic in the world? You must know where it is!"

message 173: by [deleted user] (new)

"The book of darkness? There's no book by that title here." She lied. Lapis practically lived in this library. She knew where almost every book was and had stumbled across the book of darkness once before. She never took it off the shelf before but she knew where to find it. "I know almost every book here, the one you're trying to find isn't here. Maybe it's at a different library."

message 174: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments The girl whipped her head to glare at Lapis. She started to walk toward her threateningly, knives raised. "Lies! I've tracked this book, and it is here!" She moved close enough to bring her knife up against Lapis's throat. "You little-" Armina quickly moved in her way and placed her machete on her throat, using enough pressure to draw blood. "Back up!" she barked. The girl glared at her, debating her options, but decided to back up a few steps. She would need them to help her find it before she killed them. Armina continued to stand in front of Lapis with her machete raised. There was no way the girl was going to hurt Lapis without killing her first. The girl snarled, glaring at the two of them, "You'll bring me to this book, or die, maggots!" She raised her knives toward them once more. "Move it!"

message 175: by [deleted user] (new)

"No we won't. Even if the book was here we wouldn't give it to you. It's not like you'll use it for good." Lapis said crossing her arms. "Why don't you look for it on your own?" 'It's not like she could ever find it.' She thought. It was hidden behind many books, but it would take forever to find the right shelf if you didn't already know where it is.

message 176: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments The woman growled with frustration. "You two will just get in my way if I don't have you help!" She thought for a moment, then smiled evilly. "Though you do make a good point. I suppose I could look for it on my own, and just kill you two. Your choice." She aimed her knives at them, waiting for a response. Armina wasn't sure what to do. She glanced back at Lapis with a worried expression. She knew she wouldn't be able to wolf out again. No way. She knew she was injured, and probably wouldn't last long in a fight. Could Lapis become a Willow-of-the-Wisp again? She had no idea. Otherwise, she wouldn't be able to run much with her ankle. But, she had no idea where this book would be. She didn't want to help the girl find it, either. The girl would probably kill them either way, though. At least she could put up a fight to give Lapis some chance to escape. She put on a determined face and looked at the girl, growling. "No way!" She raised her machete to fight.

message 177: by [deleted user] (new)

Lapis got up and went up to Armina. She placed a hand on her arm and shook her head. "Don't, you'll only hurt yourself more. If you want to win in a fight with her you need to surprise her." She whispered. She sighed and looked over at the girl. "We'll help you look so long as you don't hurt either of us. And we won't try to do anything either."

message 178: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina sighed. She was right. She looked down to the ground and dropped her machete on the ground, defeated. The girl smiled, chuckling. "Not so tough now, are you? Alright. I won't hurt you," she smoothly lied. Man, they would believe anything wouldn't they? She could always kill them later. She raised her knives. "You better not start anything. Otherwise..." She pantomimed slitting her throat with her knife. "Got it?" Armina nodded, still looking down at the floor. The girl walked up to Armina, kicking her machete away from her. She used the side of her knife to gently lift her chin up while Armina growled at her. She smiled, responding, "Now, get to work." She looked over at Lapis, letting Armina lower her head again by moving her knife away. "Both of you."

message 179: by [deleted user] (new)

Lapis looked up at Armina and took her hand before leading her over to the book case behind them. "Let's start looking here." She said as she started looking through the books there. "We just have to wait until she lets her guard down." She whispered so only Armina could hear her.

((Sorry this is really short!))

message 180: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments ((It's fine, don't worry about it! I understand!))

Armina followed Lapis toward the bookshelves. Armina responded, "Okay, I'll look through these books here." She indicated a part of the bookshelf. While she began looking through the books, she nodded to Lapis. She needed time to think of a plan, too. She had relinquished her machete, but she still had her knife that she always kept concealed. That would have to be good enough. After a bit, she glanced back through some empty spots in the book shelf behind them to check on the girl. She was searching through one of the shelves behind them, one knife still drawn. Armina could tell that she was still tense. We'll have to wait a bit, she thought. She continued to look through the books, thinking of how she might be able to calm the girl down. She decided to ask over her shoulder, "So, what does this book look like?"

message 181: by [deleted user] (new)

"How should I know? Just look for the title idiot." The girl respond harshly. "It's here that's all that matters, now get back to looking. Or would you rather I kill you little friend?" She asked walking over to Lapis. 'Maybe a little incentive will help her look faster.' She thought as she grabbed Lapis' arm and pulled her closer. Lapis dropped kitty and tried to pry the girls hand off but stopped struggling when she put the knife against her throat. The girl smiled at Armina. "Look faster and nothing will happen to her, okay?"

message 182: by Armina (last edited Oct 25, 2015 09:18PM) (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina bit her lip. She didn't think the girl would get so upset about one question. Her eyes widened as the girl came and grabbed Lapis by the arm. She ran toward her, ready to strangle her, when she held a knife to Lapis's throat. Armina stopped dead in her tracks, shaking. Tears welled in her eyes. She had no idea what to do. Her side had already started hurting her because she ran, and she had no idea where the book might be. She was powerless. She slowly nodded in response to the girl, backing up a step. "P-Please let go of her!" She pleaded. The girl smiled wider. Her plan seemed to be working perfectly. "Not until you start looking." Armina reluctantly turned her head toward the shelf and scanned the titles as quickly as she could. She could hear the girl chuckle, and try to drag Lapis away by the arm. Armina whipped her head to look at her. "Hey!" Armina yelled, her voice shaking with fear and rage, "What-" The girl interrupted her calmly and coldly, "You can have her back when you find the book. Tick tock. Off to looking." Armina turned back to the bookshelf, tears streaming down her face. She grabbed kitty off of the ground, clutching him to her chest for a moment before securing him in the pocket of her hoodie. She continued to quickly scan the titles of the books.

message 183: by [deleted user] (new)

Dispite the knife at her neck Lapis struggled to get away from the girl as she pulled her away from Armina. She kicked the girl as hard as she could but it didn't seem to effect her at all, she just glared at Lapis. Lapis tried again and this time she made contact with the back of her knee. The girls grip on lapis tightened as she fell to her knees, she pulled lapis down with her. Lapis fell onto her stomach but the girl turned her over so that she was on her back and rapped her hands around Lapis throat. "You stupid brat! I was going to wait to kill you but I guess now works." She said with an evil grin. She squeezed tightly as lapis clawed at her hands. She gasped for breath as she tried to kick the girl off of her.

message 184: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina heard them struggling and burst out into the main room. She saw the girl strangling Lapis and began to sprint toward them on all fours, yelling, "Don't you DARE touch her!" She leapt into the girl, knocking her onto the ground, and wrapped her hands around her neck. She bit the girl's wrist until it bled, making her let go of Lapis. She could feel the girl digging into her injured side with her knife and cried out in pain. She quickly grabbed her concealed knife out of her pocket and jammed it into the girl's throat, wedging it farther until she could feel her weakening. She continued to stab the girl in the throat repeatedly with her knife until she stopped struggling and stabbing her side. She paused and gasped for breath, dropping her knife and looking over at Lapis with a weak smile. She's safe now, she thought, but she didn't have the energy to say it. She could feel herself weakening as she collapsed onto the ground.

message 185: by [deleted user] (new)

Lapis rolled onto her side wheezing as she tried to get air back into her lungs. She laid there for a few minutes before she was to get up. Once she was able to get up she went over to Armina. She kneeled down beside her. "Armina? Will you be okay?" She asked as she noticed the blood on her side. She glanced at the girl and shook Armina's shoulder. "Wake up, Armina."

message 186: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina slowly opened her eyes when she felt Lapis shaking her. She forced herself to turn to look at Lapis, wincing because her side constantly burned with pain. She croaked out, "Fine..." She gave a weak smile, half coughing, half chuckling. "You...okay?" She quickly remembered something. She forced her arm to move and grab something from her pocket. She pulled out kitty and handed him to Lapis. "Here."

message 187: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'll be fine. At most I'll have a bruise. But you aren't fine your bleeding again, and this time a lot more." She looked at kitty then at Armina in surprise and smiled. "Thank you." She said taking kitty and holding him close to her chest. "I'll be right back don't move an inch, okay." She said as she got up. She quickly limped back to where the makeshift beds were. She picked up the medical kit and brought it back to Armina. "I'll rap your side again. Can you sit up?"

message 188: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina smiled back at Lapis when she told her not to move. It's not like she could go anywhere herself anyway. She knew she was hurt, a lot more than before. She would probably be fine, though, right? She watched for Lapis to come back, glancing over at the girl on the ground. At least she was dead, and couldn't hurt Lapis anymore. She didn't hear anything else in the library, but she wasn't sure she could trust her senses anymore. She looked up at Lapis as she returned, smiling softly. She sighed at the thought of getting up, but knew she had to. "I'll try to sit up." She forced herself up off of the ground, wincing mostly at the pain in her side, but also at the pain in her arm. She had almost forgotten about that injury. She tried to fake a smile to reassure Lapis, but she knew she could tell how much it hurt. "Thanks," she replied.

message 189: by [deleted user] (new)

"You don't have to thank me." She said as she pulled out the gauze and an ace bandage. She gently rolled up Armina's shirt a bit so she could see the cuts. "These look terrible." She said as she started wrapping the gauze around her. Once she finished that she rapped it again with the ace bandage. "How's your shoulder? Should I wrap that too?"

message 190: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments She sighed when Lapis said the cuts looked terrible. "I know..." She felt a bit better having them wrapped up, but not by much. At least it would help with the bleeding. She looked down at the ground, thinking. It would be better to have her shoulder wrapped up, too. She didn't have to pretend to be strong, she was hurt and she knew that. "My shoulder started hurting a bit. It would probably be better to wrap it." She shrugged off her sweatshirt, exposing her injury and her normal scars.

message 191: by [deleted user] (new)

"Alright." She said as she took out another role of gauze and another ace bandage. "This ones not as bad." She said as she started wrapping it like she did to her side. "This is the last of these so we can't have you getting hurt again." She said smiling at her a she finished wrapped her shoulder. She pulled out the pain killers as well and handed them to Armina.

message 192: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina smiled back at Lapis. "Hopefully I won't need to get hurt again." She took the painkillers from Lapis. "Thanks." She swallowed what she needed. She tried to sit herself more normally, thinking. "We should burn that book. People keep looking for it. We need to find it and get rid of it forever." She looked over at Lapis. "We at least need to do something about it. Any ideas?"

message 193: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's a good idea. I know where it is so we can just start a fire and burn it here. Come on let's go get it." She said standing up. She took Armina's hand and tried to help her up. "It's hidden behind a lot of books so it's hard to find." She said as she lead the way to the book of darkness. "I knew where it was the hole time I'm the one who hid it behind all the other books."

message 194: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina gasped with pain as Lapis helped her up, but was able to stay on her feet. She hobbled after her, holding her side with one hand. Hopefully it would stop hurting soon, but she doubted that it would. At least the painkillers should kick in in a while. She smiled, chucking to herself. Man, Lapis was clever. "Nice job, that was an amazing idea."

message 195: by [deleted user] (new)

"Well it's not like I hid it today. I hid it a few weeks ago right after I found it. It gives off this creepy vibe. It kind of like it makes you feel, oh I don't know, it just makes you feel weird." She said as they stopped by one of the cases that were against the wall. She crouch down so she was level with the second to last shelf and she pulled out most of the books before pulling out a very large black book with no title.

message 196: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina became concerned. "Should you really be touching that thing? It seems like it might...radiate evil or something." She noticed that there was no title on the book as Lapis pulled it out. Strange, but fitting. She could feel what Lapis was talking about as soon as she saw the book. She could hear it...talking to her in a way. It gave off a strange and sinister feeling, but she liked it. She took a few steps closer before she forced herself to look away, covering her ears. She couldn't stop the sound. "You...can't hear it?"

message 197: by [deleted user] (new)

"I don't know, probably not." She said with a light shrug. She stood back up and looked up at Armina. "Of course I can hear it. It's practically screaming at me to open it. It kind of gives me a headache." She said turning her back on Armina. She started to walk back to the center of the library. "Can you make a fire or something to burn this with. I don't think you should hold the book. Your too tempted to open it. I can see it, it's calling you too."

message 198: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina uncovered her ears as Lapis moved away. It had helped to dull the noise. She was glad Lapis didn't think she should hold the book. She didn't think she could handle it, either. She responded, "Okay. I'll see what I can do." She quickly walked past Lapis, not daring to look over at her. She looked behind the librarian's desk and found a metal trashcan to contain the fire. She dumped out the contents, ripping pages out of an old book to use as fuel for the fire, while feeling slightly bad about it. She dumped the pages into the trashcan, then searched through the cabinets in the break room. She pulled out a box of matches from one of the cabinets, happy that there was at least one thing that could start a fire in the library. She hobbled back to the center of the library, placing the trashcan down in the open. "Here." She struck a match on the side of the box, dropping it into the trashcan. She watched the pages slowly start to burn. "Do you think this will work?"

message 199: by [deleted user] (new)

"Ya, I think that should be fine." She said as she stepped closer and dropped the book in. The flames turned black and engulfed the book. As it burned the smoke turned black and filled the room. "Maybe burning it wasn't it a good idea."

message 200: by Armina (new)

Armina (arminasilverfang) | 600 comments Armina's eyes widened at the black smoke. What was she thinking before? Of course it was a bad idea! This was a crazy powerful book, it's not like you could just burn it and be done with it. There was something wrong. Something to do with the smoke, probably. Everything just felt wrong. She backed up a bit as she could hear the voices begin to talk again, increasingly louder, and covered her ears. She looked over to Lapis. "We need to get out!" she yelled. She lightly pushed her toward the door. "Go! Don't breathe in the smoke!" She figured that could only end up badly. She let go of her ears, covering her mouth and nose with her shirt. She didn't think it would help at all, but it made her feel better.
