Striding into the library after classes for the day finished, Elena made her way to her favorite section of the library — the muggle 'fiction' book section. She had taken a liking to the books as a child, and still loved to read the books, even if they had strange names like 'Mary Poppins' and 'The Wizard of Oz'. She picked up one she had wanted to read, Alice in Wonderland, and pulled up a chair to start reading. She usually liked reading because it helped her take her mind off the stress of teaching so many children each day, but today her head was clouded with thoughts on her students' behavior. It was a Friday before the weekend, and everyone was excited — and by excited, Elena meant 'couldn't focus'.

Carrying her book, Kaya quickly walked into the library and sat down on a chair near Elena. She hardly had any time to read these days, so she didn't want to waste a single second of her precious time to read. She hoped she wasn't forgetting anything, because she had lots of stuff all at once to do including helping all the other Lilacs as the head girl, classes, and much more. She just wanted to continue her book without having to worry about anything.

Looking up from her book and looking next to her, she saw one of her students, one of the head girls of some house other than Dahlia, and her name was probably Kaya. Elena knew from experience it was annoying when teachers didn't remember her name, but now that she was a teacher she finally understood why teachers wouldn't be able to memorize every last student's name. Kaya was particularly hardworking in Elena's class, and was a good student. "Hello Kaya," she said quietly, knowing that nobody, especially her, wanted to be interrupted while reading.

Hearing a familiar voice, Kaya looked up from her book to see Professor Greshire. She was slightly annoyed due to one second wasted from her time, but at least Professor Greshire was being friendly. Some other Professors wouldn't have done that. "Hello, Professor Greshire," Kaya said, giving a slight nod.

"How has the rest of your day been?" Elena inquired. She taught Kaya fairly early in the morning. "I suppose you have been reading for most of it, seeing as you're a very avid reader." In fact, Elena often wondered what students did when they weren't in class nowadays, as they might not do the same things they did nine years ago when she was last a student at Euendore. No, the students probably did the exact same thing now as they did years ago.

"No, this is my only time to read. I hardly get to these days," Kaya shrugged. "How has yours been?" She was just bein polite, since it was rude to disrespect a professor. She imagined their conversation would end shortly, because after all, it was a library.
