Shirley | 132 comments I've tried asking this question on Goodreads Feedback but no one has replied so asking here in case a librarian can help. Apologies as I know it is probably not the right place!

Why is it that when I share my update information (pages and reviews) to Facebook, despite my having the UK edition and title on my bookshelf Goodreads posts the US edition with a different cover and with this book, completely different title? Are there some other settings I need to change to do this? This is not an isolated incident as it happens regularly.

Thank you
Shirley

lethe | 16359 comments I'm not sure, but I believe that Facebook always uses the default (most popular/shelved) edition, and that it can't be changed.

Shirley | 132 comments That's what I feared.
Surely it should be the title of the original book, which in this case is by a UK author and so has a different title.
Think I am going to have to continue to keep adding a line of comment to my facebook post giving the correct details. Some of my friends are very confused!
Thank you for your help lethe!

Replying to the closing thread by rivka - I can only do this by editing my earlier comment it seems!
I did apologise in my opening comment as I thought this was not the right place to post. I was getting no replies from Goodreads Feedback, did not know where else to get answers and the librarians are usually very helpful!

This is not a Librarians Group issue. Librarians can help with issues pertaining to specific book records or most related issues, but have no control over general site functionality or related issues. Closing thread.
