I would really appreciate any feedback on my query letter. I would love anything from being too disorganized or not interesting enough. Thank you!
Query Letter:
When 19-year-old Carrie Dane has no options left to find her missing husband, whose abduction is thought to be connected to an unknown faction of organized crime, she seeks the kind of help the police can't provide.
Carrie usually lets things be what they may, being flexible with every problem. Recent events push her to change the way she thinks by taking over the investigation. When the police are doing nothing to help, Carrie gets creative. Since criminals are the only ones willing to help, she joins Everton Crane, the founder of a protection agency for criminal fugitives. He manages to make the experience more than enticing in his own charismatic way. Learning more about Everton, she explores that completely good people don't exist, and that people who seem bad aren't always what they seem in Everton's company.
Otto, her closest friend, is a person of interest in her husband's, Hale, missing person's case, only fueling her determination to uncover the truth. Scouring cities of the world for him only hurts her more and taking on some of the world's most dangerous. Her husband's unwavering moral compass makes her question her new alliance, knowing her husband would not think that the means justify the ends.
Etched in Stone is a short crime and action/adventure novella of 53 000 words. Readers may have also enjoyed All These Things I've Done by Gabrielle Zevin. Please let me know if you would be interested in taking a look at it
