Is this the Mike Chapman you thought you knew?

Nice to see the vulnerable side of our lovely detective for a change but agree that the POV change was different although I'm not sure I would want that in each book going forward. I did miss the Vineyard scenes....
I haven't read this book yet. I've been wondering how the Mike/Alexandra relationship would be. It's kind of bugged me that she's held it off for so long. Mike tends to say things to Alexandra that I feel are a little callous sometimes, but I know it's just part of their relationship. Are you saying that there is a pov change and we get Mike's pov in this book?
Yes, it is mostly from (all-I can't remember) from his POV.And a little callous? I'd sooner deck him than let him kiss me if I were her! :)

Lol! Love it. Glad to hear someone else thought he was a real jerk.
I think Fairstein was trying to show Mike was so upset/unnerved by Coop's disappearance that he went off the rails a bit. She just didn't pull it off very well, went a little too far over the top.
Quillracer, upon rereading my first post, I don't have recall of preferring this version of Mike. I'll have to read again and keep your comment in mind.
