SOLVED: Adult Fiction > SOLVED. Historical, probably Regency romance - forced/arranged marriage where she is more interested in books than in her husband. [s]

Lily | 4 comments Some months ago, I read a historical romance I really liked but now I can't recall either the title or the author. The only thing I remember about this book is that there was a married couple, in the Regency or Victorian era. The wife was more interested in reading novels rather than in her husband, who, despite his reputation for having great love-making skills, was not such a good lover to his wife. I think there was this scene (probably was in the first chapter or at the beginning)where he paused at the connecting door between their bedchambers and overheard her passionate exclamations over the plot of her book, wondering why she was always so emotionless whenever he was with her. I think he decided to try and court her, or engage her affections somehow. It was probably a forced/arranged marriage. Also, I'm pretty sure the book contained graphic sex scenes.
I really hope this rings some bells! If any of this (admittedly few) details remind you of a title, please, post your suggestions!

I’ve added it to my list to read and I’ll check my local used bookstore for it.
