"Because, who knows what else whoever this man works for is seeking. It could be the other artifacts," he gave her an incredulous look.

"Maybe, but not likely." She mumbled. "Why should we let him suffer? We can just kill him."
He laughed hysterically. "That's not how I work."
"Make them suffer more than?" She said with a shrug.
He laughed a bit more. "Fortunately, yes."
She sighed. "At least wake him up now."
He got off the wagon and laid the man on the ground. He kicked him, which caused to suddenly come awake. "Hey, buddy," Caerwyn said, pulling his sword put and pointing it at him.
The man stiffened and tried to not move much. Cassandra quickly hoped off behind him. "Be nicer about it." She mumbled to Cane.
"He's a criminal. Who cares? Honestly, you're kind of dumb when it comes to kindness."
"I hate you too." She mumbled. "Just hurry okay. We still need to get the second item plus night is going to come."
"Night is the best time of the day," he added, then turned to the man, "so, why was this glass jewel so important to you and your comrade?"
"W-well, there was an offer put up. We are able to get a rare item from it, most of which people would die for." The man stuttered out.
"What, there's another artifact worth more than this jewel?"
(Correct me if I didn't read that right.)

(No. You're right.) "Y-yes. It's called dragon's tears. It should make you invincible." He said quickly.
He looked at Cassandra, then back at the man. "Where can we find these Dragon's Tears?"
"I'm not going to tell you! It would suppose to be our dragon's tear. Not yours." He hissed at Cane.
He raised the sword to stab, but did not follow through. "Watch your tongue, or I'll cut if off. Tell me now."
The man was silent before muttering, "Taint Village." Cassandra smiled. "I happen to know someone there. This is great. Also, it's not called Dragon's tears. It's call Mystic. It's an item on the list and I looked at the Asphere. It's pointing that direction to Taint Village." She said from behind the wagon.
"Then what should I do with this one?" Caerwyn asked.
"Well... You can kill him if you want." She said climbing back in the wagon to get to the reins of the horse again.
He looked at the man, who already had a look of fear in his eyes. "You know what? I've got a better use for you." He tore a strip of cloth off his cloak and bounded the man's hands. "You're coming with me." He hoisted him up onto the wagon between him and Cassandra.
Cassandra looked at Cane. "We don't have enough supplies for another person." She mumbled. "Also, this will vastly slow us down."
"We don't have to feed him. He's just ransom. If he truly is affiliated with these people stealing our artifacts, we can use him to our advantage."
