Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She smirked at him. "You'll see, but I'm not telling you to leave you in suspense or anything. There's a pack of guards that are heading for us so I can't talk." She pulled out her blades. "Head to the window that I already cut out. Be careful how you land. I'll take care of everything here and follow you. Though if you try to run away, I can always find you and turn you back in." She said.

In no way was Caerwyn going back to a cell, so he had no choice but to listen. He climbed up to the window and leapt out without a second thought. He sailed through the open air and landed hard, but forward rolling and dispersing the impact. Some guards' attention was caught and they ran towards him. "Devil curse me. I have no blade," he said to himself.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She looked out the window and threw one of her blades so it landed near him. She used her second blade and ran at the guards and started to cut the guards down quickly.

message 54: by [deleted user] (new)

He picked up the sword and ran at the nearest guard, whom he quickly parried the attack of and impaled. He smacked one across the head, knocking him unconscious, and stabbed another in the heart coming up from behind.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She threw a couple of guards out the window and then sliced up the rest. Once she was done, she hoped out of the window. As she did she jabbed her blade in the concrete making the fall might more slower. She reached the floor and grabbed her blade. She started to run for him.

As Caerwyn had engaged two other guards, trying to dispatch them as quickly as possible, another approached from behind without Caerwyn's knowledge. The guard readied to impale him, and thrust his sword deep in Caerwyn's back.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments Cassandra threw her blade and it hit the guard from the side. She ran over and got her blade and cut up the other guards.

Caerwyn fell to his knees. If there was one thing he loved doing, it was putting on a show, so he stayed there and hid his smirk.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments Cassandra let out a sigh as the last body fell. She walked over to him. "I never did catch your name? Can I call you Patch? You look like a Patch." She said. "Also, need my blade back."

message 60: by [deleted user] (new)

He stood up and handed her the sword. He pulled the other out of his back and chuckled. "Did you already know?"

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "Yup." She said. "Now, keep in mind I'm not to be toyed with okay. You follow my orders. Order number one, follow me." She said and started walking.

message 62: by [deleted user] (new)

"I've changed my mind. I'm not going to be nice to you. First, I want to know why you want me so bad. My glory is over. I was famous once, but that's done. What's my worth to you now?"

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "You have a curse on you correct?" She said as soon as he was done. She started to walk back to him. "I know who you once were, but others haven't. You're a good ally. I love good allies, so do you fancy that I lift this curse off your shoulders?"

message 64: by [deleted user] (new)

"How do you know about that?" He clenched his hand around the sword's hilt.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "There's secrets I can't revel to you yet." She said with a small smirk. She reached up and pulled the cloak of her hood down. "I'm Cassandra. Nice to meet you."

message 66: by [deleted user] (new)

She was pretty. He had to give her that. "Caerwyn." He took off his gauntlet and shook her hand with his own skeletal one.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She seemed unfazed by the hand and shook it. "Nice to meet you, name that I can't pronounce. Do you have a nickname?"

message 68: by [deleted user] (new)

"No, but if you feel so inclined, I'll let you decide." He retracted his hand and waited.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "Cane." She said with a smile. "That's your nickname. Say it yourself." She said with a nod.

message 70: by [deleted user] (new)

"Cane. Why Can- never mind. I don't care. Let's just go. I hear more guards coming." He readied his sword and began walking.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She followed behind him. "I don't know. I feel like calling you Cane. You should listen to me more since I saved you."

message 72: by [deleted user] (new)

He growled. "Fine." He looked around for an easier escape. He caught glimpse of a sewer grate and pointed to it so Cassandra could see.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She sighed. "Fine." She said running to the sewers. "I'm going to hate doing this though." She mumbled.

message 74: by [deleted user] (new)

"Get used to it. I've been through worse," he stated. He climbed down after her, shutting the sewer grate right as the guards came around a corner.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She waited until they left before saying something. "Yeah, but you kind of don't get affected by smell." She said trying to breath out of her mouth.

message 76: by [deleted user] (new)

"That's your problem." Caerwyn looked around for a moment then said, "we need a source of light."

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She sighed. "I'm not sure how we are going to find it. It's not like I brought torches." She said with a nod.

message 78: by [deleted user] (new)

Caerwyn sighed heavily. "Gods forbid, I was hoping I wouldn't have to do this." He held up his hand as if he was holding a ball and suddenly, a flame ignited.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "Ohhh. Impressive." She smiled at him and clapped her hands. "Okay. Let's keep walking!" She said and stood next to him as they walked.

message 80: by [deleted user] (new)

"Just so you know, using pyromancy does take a lot of energy, so if you see an artificial source of light, please let me know." He walked beside her, keeping enough distance as to not make it awkward.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She nodded and looked down the sewers. She sighed softly and adjusted her cloak more. "We need to head to my hut to rest up. Tomorrow, we are going to head to someone I know to help us with your curse."

message 82: by [deleted user] (new)

"Who is king right now, by the way?" Caerwyn asked.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "Marshal. He's a real pain in the butt." She said casually. "Though, I typically don't exist so I don't care."

message 84: by [deleted user] (new)

"Marshal … Drace?" Caerwyn stopped, waiting for confirmation.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She nodded. "Yes." She said and looked at him. "You rememberer the guy?"

message 86: by [deleted user] (new)

Caerwyn's fist clenched tight, and if he had been human, his knuckles would've gone white. "That man was the very reason I was killed. I was next in line for King because of my reputation as a swordhand. He was after me, but he was impatient. He made a deal with Death himself and earned me this God-forsaken curse. He deserves a sword in his heart."

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She frowned slightly. "Don't." She said. "It's better that we save the revenge for later. I know a perfect time to kill that man, but I don't think it should be soon."

message 88: by [deleted user] (new)

"Whatever. Let's just get out of here before I change my mind." He resumed walking, holding the flame high.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She followed him and watched the flame in his hand. Or... Boney arm. She sighed softly. "How long were you locked in that cell?"

message 90: by [deleted user] (last edited Sep 08, 2015 10:12PM) (new)

"64 years, 9 months, 17 days," he answered simply, as if it should be common knowledge, but actually wasn't.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She looked at him with wide eyes. "Woah! You must of been amazingly bored. I would." She said looking at him.

message 92: by [deleted user] (new)

"Then obviously you've never been locked in silence, with the only voice you can hear being your own," he said looking back at her with a grim face.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "Well, hearing my voice I would be pretty happy." She said giving him a happy face to out due his grim face.

message 94: by [deleted user] (new)

His look quickly turned to puzzlement, then to anger. "You have no idea what it's like."

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments "Yeah. I don't. But, it doesn't mean we have to reflect or it in a darkened light." She said crossing her arms.

message 96: by [deleted user] (new)

"I'm not talking about this anymore. I barely know you, let alone trust you completely," he said shoving her out of the way so he could continue walking.

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She stumbled back slightly and frowned. She quickly kicked him down from behind and pin one hand down with her foot. "Listen. We need to trust each other since the guards can kill me and take you away. As well as the king himself would love to pay a visit. It's my best advice I'll give you." She took her foot off his hand. "Don't ever shove you again or I'm feeding your bones to dogs." She mumbled.

message 98: by [deleted user] (new)

"Your threats mean nothing," he said, standing up, "so you kicked a man down from behind. Got any other cowardly skills?"

Møøńšhådöw {Stars are only visible in darkness} (moonshadow16) | 990 comments She stopped and glared at him. "I can drag you right back in the cell. You'll never have a chance of lifting that cruse without me. You'll still be talking to your rat right about now."

message 100: by [deleted user] (new)

Caerwyn stared for a moment, than had a sudden realization. He had a plan. With a sigh, he said, "Fine. My apologies. Lead the way, Knowledgeable One.” He held up the flame.
