She found herself actually jumping up and down like she was at a football game. Her friends were shocked she even would do this at a party, but ended up playing along. "You can do it!" Delilah yelled happily.
James watched the clock as two minutes passed. The room was spinning to him and his balance was being thrown off a bit by the drink. He looked at Delilah trying to focus on which one out of the three he saw was the correct one. He nodded towards her saying thanks for the cheer
She smiled brightly when she saw James mouth a thank you. She hoped he wasn't pushing himself though. She didn't want him to be sick. She suddenly felt bad for encouraging him.

Jak lost his balance falling off the container onto the floor. He felt the air leave his chest as he laid there for a sec. He slowly tried to get up as he pushed himself on his knees and sat there for a sec
Panic ran through her as she quickly ran to him. She got down besides him. "Are you okay?" She said worriedly. God, what was she thinking?
"I.... Im okaaaaaaay." He said seeing the world spin. He looked at Delilah smiling. His friend came behind him helping James on his feet. James stood there for a second trying to balance himself before grabbing the keg stand
"Don't lift him!" She yelled at his friend angrily. "It makes the blood rush down to quickly." She said. She stayed next to James and looked at him. "Uh... Here's your jacket. It's very soft by the way..."
"Thanks." He mumbled trying to stay conscious. "New record." He says with a small smile. "I need to lie down somewhere."
She took his arm. "Here. Lean on me. If you fall I'll catch you." She said softly. She started to walk with him to the couches so he could lay down like he wanted.
"No problem." She gently laid him down. She sat down besides him quietly. "That was the first time I ever got so wilded up about something."
"Ha I'm glad." He said with a smile. "Im glad you were cheering me one for that." He sat there trying to get a breath in as he felt his back in pain. "Well we did something I wanted to do. What would you like to do?"
"Honestly, you wouldn't like what I want to do." She said. That is to go back to her dorm and study. "Let's just take a breather. Are you sure you're not drunk?"
"Totally." He said sitting up on the couch and standing up and falling back down quickly. "Well I dont know."
She laughed softly and sat down besides him. "Let's just sit down." She was quiet for a moments. "How did you do that? It was almost 3 minutes. That's amazing!"
"I used to be a swimmer so I can hold my breathe for about 4 minutes and then about a year ago, I needed money and my friend would give it to me if I beat two minutes. So I got good practice." He said with a smile laying on her shoulder. "Lets just say I am pretty good at many things."
"I see." She said and stiffened slightly when he put his head on her shoulder. But, when she looked at him, she relaxed slightly. "I want to be good at things, but I'm sort of afraid."
She nodded. "I guess." She laughed softly. Then looked at him. "Hey, do we have any classes together?" She asked him. Despite everything, she found herself actually having fun. She wanted to experience more of that with him.
"A few if Im correct." He said thinking. "I cant really remember. Here one sec." he said getting up and heading to the bar and grabbing two beers. He came back and held one out to her. "Have some."
She stared at it. "No way." She said taking the beer and just handing it to someone else. "I don't want to have one. It could kill brain cells."
"Oh come one. One drink wont hurt you that bad." He said taking a small sip. "So tell me. Im curious but why were you all scared when I came over?"
"Well... I heard stories on the news that people usually get drugged at parties and get raped." She said still refusing to drink.
"Well I would never do that." He said taking another sip. "So tell me Delilah. You said I wouldn't like what you wanted to do. What is it?" He asked curious now
"Uh..." She said. "I wanted to go back to my dorm and do homework." She mumbled softly. "But, I'll stay here."
"You sure? It won't be much fun." She said. "Plus, I'm not sure you can walk in the straight line, much less to my dorm."
"Ha we will see." He said getting up and holding his arms out to balance himself. "Might need a little help."
She sighed. "Okay." She got up and put his arm around her. "I can't believe I'm doing this though." She said.
"Doing what?" He said grabbing another beer as he walked past. "And I'm gonna apologise for anything I do wrong. Beer sort of messed with me and I do dumb things."
She sighed. "It's fine." She said and walked with him. "I'm just not used to this." She headed to the door.
"Hanging out with someone so relaxed and carefree." She said. "I mean my friends try to act like that, but the only reasons my friends even want to go because Beth's boyfriend is here."
"Makes sense. I think you could get any guy with how pretty you are." He said smiling at Delilah. "I'm not lying."
"No of course not." He said smiling and then dropped his glass. He saw the dorm. "Am I allowed in there?"
"Uh. I'm not sure." She said. "I saw boys enter girls dorms before." She nodded. "I think it's fine."
She walked with him and walked to her dorm room. She was very nervous, but did it anyways. She brought him inside her dorm and sighed softly. "You'll leave when it gets dark right?"
"Yeah totally." He said letting her go and then laying on the bed. "So what are we studying? Or is it homework? Are you homework cause I should be doing you all night long!" He said laughing at that and looking at her
She rolled her eyes at the joke. She walked to her mini-fridge and got water. "Here, just drink this." She tossed it to him. Then got to work.
He grabbed the drink and took a sip. "Water. Chemistry. I think you and I have some chemistry together." He said as he laughed at another cheesy pickup line. "These are great."
She sighed. "Okay. Okay." She said shaking her head and laughing softly. "Of course water is great. Better than beer."
She found herself laughing softly as well. Though, she just shook her head. "How about we just play the quiet game? You drink some water and I just work."
He took another sip and laid there quiet for a sec. "I must seem like a fool." He said more to himself than to her. "Am I a nice guy?" He asked Delilah looking at the ceiling
She stopped writing for a moment. "Yes." She said. "You are a nice guy. You aren't a fool either." She said softly.
