Haha that is hilarious! That gives me a little bit of hope that there may be more diaries out there from this time period! I mean they found out only in the last few years that a descendant of Anne Bolyen's was delivering flowers every year to her tomb. Wasn't it? Maybe these long ago famous royal families are holding onto stuff until they feel the world would not be biased against their relatives and their true story can be told...

Carolyn | 29 comments It is wonderful to read all the great comments on these books. Not enough time in the day to read them all. I am a Leande de Lisle fan as well as Sharon Penman. I want to try Winter King about Henry VIII. That is by Thomas Penn.c

Carolyn | 29 comments Winter King is about Henry VII not the VIII. Too many ones.

Samantha (samanthajw) | 91 comments Winter King has lots of great info in the beginning if the Tudor dynasty, but it is hard to read a lot at once - at least it was for me.

Susanna - Censored by GoodReads (susannag) | 2165 comments It has a strange organization, but finally I got used to it, and it was very interesting. It is about Henry VII, though.

Carolyn | 29 comments I did make a correction. It is definitely Henry the seventh not the eighth. The correction should be there

Carolyn | 29 comments About the flowers to Anne Boleyn's grave. She is buried in the chapel within the Tower of London I believe. Are they delivering the flowers there? I visited there with my daughter in 2013.

Wouldn't it have been great if when they found Richard III's skeleton recently it had a little diary or perhaps a note saying either I did it or I didn't murder my nephews!

MaryKatherine (opheliaellie131) Ahh, what history lovers wish for! I would absolutely love to see diaries from this time period, especially because so much historical fiction set in the Tudor era relies on sexuality and romance. I enjoy that in a story, but I would love to know if that's all people really thought about!

That would have been amazing! It would solve or create one big mystery from history....
Carolyn I believe that is where they send the flowers every year from what I've heard/read. I believe they had recently found out it was a distant Carey relative that is still living.

She is - the Chapel of St Peter ad Vincula along with Catherine Howard

Gail (fictionbookwurm) I finally reached the point where I Can't put the book down. Took me more than halfway through, but once both girls married, I'm riveted. I think it is because it finally felt like they had their own story, instead of being just a means of retelling history. Can't wait to finish now.

Gretchen (eab2012) I read this novel back when it first came out and I have to say I wasn't overly impressed with it. If anyone is looking of another novel about the Grey family, I just finished Sisters of Treason and thought it was excellent! Warning: If you pick up Freemantle's novel, make sure you have a box of tissue too. You're going to need it.
