20. Accidentally Pregnant or Just Pregnant
The Tycoon's Vacation (Baby for the Billionaire, #2) by Melody Anne
Book: The Tycoon's Vacation by Melody Anne
Rating: ★★★
How it fits: #156 on Best Accidentally Pregnant in Romance Novels
Review:
When I started the book I was expecting a quick and light like the other books from the author I've read and that's exactly what I got. It was a rather short story where everything went by fast but still a decent read.

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments Hello, ladies! I am so sorry for being quiet the last few days. Earlier in the week I had a really bad migraine that landed me in the hospital. There were other complications from it that led to me being admitted. All recovered though! Now to get all caught up.

Option 2

Dragon's Lair (Wind Dragons MC, #1) by Chantal Fernando

3 stars

This one in the beginning jumped around between the time period, present day and 6 months earlier. Now, when done properly I'm a big fan of books like that. But it's hard for an author to successfully pull off. Faye adapted really quick to the life Dex took her too. He comes off as a brute, but then he was VP in a motorcycle club. The author did a pretty good job of depicting mc life, even though there were a few things that missed. Not enough to detract from the story. Editing is where it lost stars for me. It was absolutely horrible. Incorrect phrases, misspellings, sentence structure, misspelled words.

Option #1

Book:Magic Breaks
Magic Breaks (Kate Daniels, #7) by Ilona Andrews

Rating: ★★★½

Review:
I enjoy the Kate Daniels series, but I think I'm in the minority among its readers: I'm not in it for the romance, not at all. In fact, I don't even like Curran. He's exactly the kind of dominating alpha dude who turns me off . I guess that is a bit problematic in your average shifter story, but I'm more likely to fall for the nerdy, funny beta hero, just saying ;). I'm mostly in for the Urban Fantasy and the story had plenty for me, packed with action and magic - and the fact that Curran wasn't in it for the first half made it even better, so I could enjoy Kate, Ascanio, Derek and other minor characters a lot more.

Stepbrother Dearest by Penelope Ward
5 stars

Any book that can get me to cry because of the story and not the horrid editing is a good one. It's very rare that I do cry but after Part One Penelope Ward kept ripping my heart out! Elec and Greta were great characters. You wanted to hate Elec but if you saw past the surface you couldn't. And Greta didn't let him beat her down either! Part Two takes place 8 years later. And this is where the story really grips you. You learn so much more about the characters and really see how their initial relationship has affected them.

Captivated (Federation Chronicles, #4; Phantom Corps, #3) by Lauren Dane by Lauren Dane
Read 11/19/2015**
Review - Okay I feel like I stepped in after intermission and was a little lost with plot and characters. I really like this author's other works but first time reading this series and I would need to have read first 2 books to follow plot line. In as far as the story goes I like the way the relationship between the 3 characters developed at a slow pace and wasn't rushed as so many are. I don't think I will read the rest of the series as it didn't appeal to me that much.

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments Yeah, for the most part I am. But these issues are something I'll deal with for the rest of my life unless medical technology actually figures something out. It's mostly managing it and trying to not have attacks.

Awesome. Hope all is well and gets better with your health. I overextended myself in challenges this month. Struggling to keep up and not let any of my teams down. Will I ever learn?

message 390: by GreenFairy (new)

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments Normally I do 5-6 smaller challenges at a time. I'm on three team challenges now. All are aware that I have health issues and it is interfering with my activity. By this point in the month I've read 8 books at least usually. I'm barely hitting 6 in a month! It's more frustrating that I can't seem to get better but everyone has been awesome. Once it balances out and I have a set plan to try there should be improvement. It's only been a little over a month since it really got sorted out and I have to find what works for me. Have I actually explained what is wrong with me?

message 391: by GreenFairy (new)

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments I'm going to try and stick around tonight. Since this is the last week and speed is key. I can't promise so just in case I would appreciate it if any of you that are around when it's announced make sure it's posted here? You have been great about it so far.

Rating: |15/11/21 ★★★

Review:
This was a quick read over breakfast. It felt a little redundant and could easily have been the previous book's epilogue, also I'm not fond of telling half of a story in flashbacks. Having said this, Chloe and Bennett have a lot of chemistry, I liked the voice of the MC and the sexy times were nice and steamy - so I did enjoy it.

Book: Frisco James by Lynn Hagen
Rating: ★★★
How it fits: paranormal mm romance
Review:
It's been a while since I read a Lynn Hagen book and even after all this time I fell into the story as if I read her last book yesterday. It was short, with very little plot and what complication happened was resolved very quickly, as usual. The ending was interesting and I'm curious how the situation with Panahasi and his sons will play out in the end.
