Gabriel and Charlotte's story intrigued me from the glimpses we had in the first book and I had high expectations for this book. The book turned out to be one of my favorites from Nalini Singh and I'll be reading the next one soon.

Option #1: Second Chance Romance
Book:

The Girl Who Chased the Moon
269 pages
How this book qualifies: #381 on list Best Second Chance Romance

Thank you for posting it, Maritza. We had a really bad storm last night and power kept cutting out. I'll repost with links if everyone needs it.

I read Stepbrother Dearest and wasn't impressed, the author can do much better than that. It's a quick read, but nothing special. I'm not familiar with Raze but it sounds like complete opposite and harder book to read

Review: A quick read. Not the best Lisa Kleypas. Avery is a wedding planner in Houston when she meets Joe Travis. Avery is insecure and Joe is confident. I really liked Avery's morals and the way her staff worked together to plan events. I loved the proposal...

Review - Pickles !!! this was such a funny read. The mc Cedric is a garlic farmer with a dog named Tofu who has such things go wrong that they make you laugh. A really fun read by a new to me author. I recommend this as a light funny read.

I really liked the writing style, but my heart wasn't in the plot and I didn't feel the romance. Still, it's a new-to-me author who is very promising, I'll defintely check out her other works. And after all those mentioning of cake in the story, I'm craving some ;)

This is the first book that I have read by this author. And I am quite impressed. It sucks you in from the very beginning when you meet 818, who later called himself Raze. Before finding out he is actually Luka. It's not as confusing as it sounds. Ms. Cole did an awesome job of giving us the story of 818, his transformation to Raze, and what really happened to Luka. I don't think she should have had (view spoiler) . After everything Raze went through he deserved a little break. Kisa still pined for him, even though she was engaged to Alik. Talia and his mother also continued to mourn him for the entire 12 years he was gone. Definitely one of my favorite books of the year!["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>["br"]>

Review: What a disappointing book. I didn't expect it to be like Hunger Games like the reviews said. I expected a much better ending than the book contained with all the build up it had going on. I kept waiting for something to happen and then it was very much oh no bad stuff is about to happen, just kidding, the good guys win again. Overall, I just wasn't into it.

Week 5
19. Second Chance Romance

Book: Lady Isabella's Scandalous Marriage by Jennifer Ashley
Rating: ★★★★
How it fits: #39 on Best Second Chance Romance
336 pages (Kindle)
Review:
This was a second book in a series and while I enjoyed the first one, this one didn't sound at all interesting to me so it stayed on my TBR for a long long time. I picked it up because it was finally translated and I decided to give the series another try. In the end I quite liked Isabella's and Mac's story and I'm looking forward to Cameron's story that should be translated soon.

I enjoyed this story. It was well written and the main character were engaging. I had a few niggles with the story, but I read it in one sitting. Copper and Jace build slowly to friendship and then love. They had obstacles to overcome and get over. I did like how supportive their friends and family were.

Review: I liked this book a whole lot more than I thought I was going to at the beginning. MCs are high school sweethearts who suffer a terrible tragedy when their high school friends are all killed in an accident. She suffers major PTSD and he leaves for college. Fast forward 15 years when he returns to town. It was sweet how the town took care of her but I was annoyed by the fact no one seemed to think that she would benefit from THERAPY.

Nevermind...it isn't. But I do highly recommend it. It's a retelling of Little Red Riding Hood.

I loved this book. It was very entertaining, a fun and sexy story, full of great characters and family. Knox and Ellie were fantastic together and I liked them individually too. The side characters were great also. Can't wait to read who'll get a book next.
