Option 1 — MC is a professional sportsman/woman

Sacked (Gridiron, #1) by Jen Frederick

4.5 stars

I loved this book. It was very entertaining, a fun and sexy story, full of great characters and family. Knox and Ellie were fantastic together and I liked them individually too. The side characters were great also. Can't wait to read who'll get a book next.

Maritza (spanishwhispers) | 601 comments hey guys just checking in for the week. It's been another slow reading week. I'm liking my book choice but that is a nightly read as it's on my kindle. This week i've been watching movies at night and doing zero reading. Will try to finish by Saturday the latest. Hope everyone is having a good week.

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments On top of dealing with my current health issues I've pretty much been in bed for a little over a week now with flu, cold...something. So medicine and sleep is pretty much all I'm doing.

But no worries, Maritza. As of right now, no one is behind. We've been getting done for the previous week within a couple days of the new category being called.

I read Stepbrother Dearest and wasn't impressed, the author can do much better than that. It's a quick read, but nothing special. I'm not familiar with Raze but it sounds like complete opposite and harder book to read

I really liked the writing style, but my heart wasn't in the plot and I didn't feel the romance. Still, it's a new-to-me author who is very promising, I'll defintely check out her other works. And after all those mentioning of cake in the story, I'm craving some ;)

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments Not quite finished with my book. Just started it this afternoon. OMG...I cannot put the book down! This is the first in awhile that I have been really excited about reading a book. If you love tattooed fighters, violence, and/or mafia mixed in with your erotica...you gotta read this. But...it's not for the faint of heart. Holy. Cow.

Second Chance Romance

Raze (Scarred Souls, #1) by Tillie Cole
256 pages

5 stars

This is the first book that I have read by this author. And I am quite impressed. It sucks you in from the very beginning when you meet 818, who later called himself Raze. Before finding out he is actually Luka. It's not as confusing as it sounds. Ms. Cole did an awesome job of giving us the story of 818, his transformation to Raze, and what really happened to Luka. I don't think she should have had (view spoiler). After everything Raze went through he deserved a little break. Kisa still pined for him, even though she was engaged to Alik. Talia and his mother also continued to mourn him for the entire 12 years he was gone. Definitely one of my favorite books of the year!

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments We're all up to date on reading so it's fine if you don't. The only week it's important to get it done as quick as possible is the last one. Only because that determines who "won", if I remember correctly. Otherwise, don't worry, Danielle.

Review: What a disappointing book. I didn't expect it to be like Hunger Games like the reviews said. I expected a much better ending than the book contained with all the build up it had going on. I kept waiting for something to happen and then it was very much oh no bad stuff is about to happen, just kidding, the good guys win again. Overall, I just wasn't into it.

Review:
This was a second book in a series and while I enjoyed the first one, this one didn't sound at all interesting to me so it stayed on my TBR for a long long time. I picked it up because it was finally translated and I decided to give the series another try. In the end I quite liked Isabella's and Mac's story and I'm looking forward to Cameron's story that should be translated soon.

I enjoyed this story. It was well written and the main character were engaging. I had a few niggles with the story, but I read it in one sitting. Copper and Jace build slowly to friendship and then love. They had obstacles to overcome and get over. I did like how supportive their friends and family were.

Review: I liked this book a whole lot more than I thought I was going to at the beginning. MCs are high school sweethearts who suffer a terrible tragedy when their high school friends are all killed in an accident. She suffers major PTSD and he leaves for college. Fast forward 15 years when he returns to town. It was sweet how the town took care of her but I was annoyed by the fact no one seemed to think that she would benefit from THERAPY.
