GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments Hello, Pam! I have an uncle that lives fairly close to you as well. I played softball when I younger. Was being scouted for college. Then I got injured and that dream went poof. So, now I coach. I love doing it.

Throughout the day, I'm going to be getting us set up. The way I do things may seem like they're all over the place to you. So if you have questions, confused, etc., don't hesitate to ask.

Oh no! Does your tablet use the same type of charger as other devices? I can charge my tablet, cell, mp3 player, and something else (it's eluding me) with the same wire.

Review

This isn't my favorite series in the world but it was nice to see how the characters were doing. Ayden (the female MC) was completely annoying in this book and I sort of hoped there'd be no HEA but I knew I was lying to myself. I think the last three chapters were the best of the entire book and I will continue the series but I'm not in OMGWTFBBQ MUST READ NOW mode. They can wait.
Pages: 416

message 87: by GreenFairy (new)

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments I am struggling to get through mine. Typically I'm done by now. I already want to slap the main female. Her friend isn't much better. Why do authors insist on writing annoying female characters? Do they really think that's what men want? *throws hands up*

message 89: by Stacie (new)

Stacie (thesebooksaremyfriends) I was looking at what you are reading and umm it doesn't get better in the rest of the series. By book #4 I wanted to slap everyone.

GreenFairy (greenfairy429) | 1096 comments Well...crap. Judging by this book, most likely I wouldn't continue it any way. But thanks for the heads up!

Week 1
10. Artistic/Creative Romance

Book: Brown-Eyed Girl Brown-Eyed Girl (Travis Family, #4) by Lisa Kleypas

Rating: ★★★
How it fits: Artistic/Creative Romance Heroes/Heroines #112
304 pages (Kindle Edition)

Review:
Avery is a wedding planer and doesn't have time for romance. Even when she meets Joe Travis, an artsy photographer, who she is very attracted to, she keeps saying, she doesn't want a relationship. At some point I believed her, so the main romance in the book wasn't very convincing to me. It felt very secondary to all the subplots about Avery's friends and the Travis family. I still enjoyed it, Kleypas' writing is lovely as usual and there were plenty of moments that I liked, but overall this book isn't the strongest in the Travis series.

Good book; quick read. Reminds me of the Gwyneth Paltrow movie
Sliding Doors Girl moves back to Los Angeles after unhappy affair--meets up with her high school boyfriend. In alternating chapters, she chooses to either hook up with him or not hook up with him and what the resultant consequences are. Like the old choose your own adventure books. HEA but not easily.

Review - First of let me start by saying that I am a Rock Chick in Training so these book was already a ***** before I began. If you guys don't know about the Rock Chicks and Hot Bunch can I just ask where have you guys been? Here we get the story of Kai (Mace) and Stella with appearances from the rest of the crew. Just one more hot guy finally getting it about his chick. I would definately recommend this whole series to everyone and anyone.

Week 1: Artistic/Creative Romance
Meeting Trouble (Trouble, #1) by Emme Rollins
2 1/2 stars

A heroine that waffled about what she wanted to do through a good chunk of the book. A married rock star who fell instantly in love. They never really took the time to get to know each other. They just ended up being tourists...in between the sex. Phrases were repetitive. Editing was alright. The story was just flat though. Not the least bit believable for me.
