Because that was his first death. His body had no marks because of that. Only resurrected bodies have the mark.
I really love this book and I'm not particularly bored even though it's so long but, oh, how I wish to just get to the end already and see everybody happy and stuff XD.
i finished the book already. i was blown away. it was a great read.

I'll have to go back to reading tonight. Got busy. I don't like new characters coming in in the final book but I am sure I will still like it.
