Hey girls, this book is one that I have to return by this Sunday, May 4 so I have to go ahead and read it. It's from the Link+ program or I'd take it back and check it out again. LOL

I am getting used to the library but I still have a difficult time juggling when to read them and sometimes they can't be renewed because of others waiting and then other times if they are new it takes my library FOREVER to get them!!! It'll say "available soon" and that makes me a bit upset! LOL

Hogs: (view spoiler)[ What a night! The end of chapter 15 was pretty freaky for Meg! I am wondering why she passed out like she did and why the gun caused her such "pain." I didn't get the sense that the bullet was shot past her ears, but perhaps. I think she "overreacted" to the gunshot, so now I'm wondering if Trisha is right about her being the one to have witnessed something really dangerous. (hide spoiler)]

Elle, Laura, Brandon: (view spoiler)[ I don't know if I have forgotten what happened or if it hasn't clearly said yet. What is it that they seemingly did that might be causing Meg such bad nightmares? IF they had something to do with it, I don't see what they could've been involved in that would cause such danger to Meg. But I do have a feeling that they are somehow involved since Meg' nightmares seem to include them. (hide spoiler)]

Meg's mother: (view spoiler)[ I can't believe that she slapped Meg across the face and HARD! The fact that Agent Thomas also said the suits got her to quit drinking for a few days shows me the fear of God was put in her! I'm wondering (view spoiler)[ if it would be better to tell them why they have to have protection. I mean wouldn't it make them more conscious or mindful of their actions? And why wouldn't the girls have at least one of the agent's phone numbers? What are they suposed to do if something happens and they aren't able to get ahold of their parents? Especially with the mom drunk all the time and dad works in a factory where he can't answer his phone any time he wants! (hide spoiler)]

I am glad that she remembers, but I feel terrible for her that she carries that burden of all that her family has been through and what they might still go through. Mom (view spoiler)[ I am really glad that she is in rehab, but I do wish that had happened sooner for the kids' sake. Meg had to go through so much with her, especially the night that Ethan came back and carried her into the house. How gross! (hide spoiler)]

The Ending: (view spoiler)[ I was a little disappointed in the ending because there's not a book 2 and I don't know if "Agent" Thomas will come after her again. I don't know why he left that in her coat pocket and the note. Does he want her to know he's still capable of knowing where she is at all times? Or was he being "nice"? I'm not sure how to take him. Why did he want the ledgers? I assume he killed Sanchez or had someone else do it. So I wonder if Meg IS still in danger or will be in the future. I'll never know. (hide spoiler)]

Meg (view spoiler)[ So I think from her memory, she saw Mr Price...which is her dad's boss and Brandon's dad...get shot. She saw a gun in a man's hand and a lot blood on Mr. Price's chest.

And weird things are happening to her: the power being cut to the laundry mat, her journal disappeared, she keeps thinking someone is watching/following her and someone broke into Ethan's truck and looked through her bag. I think that covers it.

So does she have something they want? I can't think of anything she would have that they would want! Besides the journal? That was where she wrote everything down and they don't have it then who does??? Or is it just that she saw something she wasn't suposed to? (hide spoiler)]

Her dad (view spoiler)[ I wish I knew what he did for a living!! I think it would be easier to determine what happened and what he is suposed to give them so they will back off, because yes! I believe he is talking to the bad guys!!! (hide spoiler)]

Dreams (view spoiler)[ I can't figure how Elle and Laura are connected to this, because I think they are. It can't be that she was just thinking about them and then dreamed that they were in the room with her.

She said that she heard Laura on the phone with Brandon and then left to go to another party and she got drunk, went home and that is when she saw the suits for the first time.

But there is something missing from the time she got drunk at this party and the time before she got home. Did she go to Brandon's house before she went home? And that's when whatever happened happened? (hide spoiler)]

I thought that he truly didn't want any harm to come to Anna and Ethan, he could have killed them on the spot when he got the ledgers from them. But he didn't, but I can't figure out who is and why he wanted the ledgers. What's his end game? I don't know! We need to set up a date for book #2!!!! (hide spoiler)]

Okay, I was able to read your spoilers and now that I know there is a book 2 (not sure how I missed that!) I might change my rating to a 5. I gave it a 4 mainly because I really felt it left off too much at the end. But if there is a book 2 then that explains it! LOL

Yes, I read the blurb for book 2 and now (view spoiler)[Agent Thomas makes more sense to me. I thought we just would decide for ourselves if he every bothered Meg again. LOL I couldn't understand if he was with Sanchez why he shot him and left it the way it was, especially with that not for Meg. I'm SO glad you cleared up the book 2 issue!
