Hi all! I ended up starting this book...and finishing this book... this past weekend! It was a nice, light, easy read compared to some of the others we've had and it flew by pretty fast!

Overall, I enjoyed it. Nothing about it was very special or blew me away, but it was a relaxed, enjoyable read, and I appreciate those. Very cute little spy story, but it doesn't pack the punch of Le Carre.

Who else is reading this one besides Leslie?

3.5 stars rounded up. I don't know what it is but despite the fact that this thriller had many elements I like, as a whole it didn't quite work for me. Maybe it was the personality of the main character... Maybe it was just my mood right now. Even though it was missing some ingredient to make it a great book for me, it was still a good example of the "innocent person caught up in intrigue" type of thriller & the setting was wonderful.

I've just bought the two Eric Ambler books the group has so far read, and they're lined up for the next few weeks.

I got this one at the recent library sale for 25 cents. Not sure when I'll get to it but it is now on the pile.
