Is there a way an ISBN can have 2 different covers? My Shooting and Elephant with the same ISBN has a different cover than the one that's shown. It was originally on there, but then someone switched it, and I can't switch it back without deleting his cover.
Is there a way to put the one that was there back up? (I like it a lot more.)
Can I create a separate edition?
I started looking through things I could do, but I've read horror stories on these posts about people who think they're helping and end up creating hours of work. I do NOT want to be one of those people.
Philip,I haven't looked at the 2 editions but yes, same editions of a book can definitely have 2, or even more, covers.
Yes, you can add your edition in. The workaround is to manually add your edition, with the cover, but without the ISBNs. Put a note in the book's description field that the edition is an alternate for such & such ISBN(s) and list the ISBN(s) there in the description field. Create the book. (EDIT: Don't put the ISBNs in the ISBN fields.)
Then, as a GR librarian you can combine your edition with other editions of the book. You can make a librarian note too for that edition if you feel that is necessary.
It's a good idea to make both a Librarian Note and a note in the book description field that it is an alternate cover edition for ISBN ____________.

Great. I'll give it a shot. That sounds like the kindof thing that if I do it wrong, it won't blow up in my face and cause others a lot of work.Thank you.

Well, I finally did it. It took me a while to get around to it, but it's done - and no explosions.Thanks.
