Every good group needs guidelines, and I intend to be no slacker in that department. Please read the rules, and follow them. Offenses will be punished accordingly.

1. Respect other members. I think this rule speaks for itself. Treat others the way you'd like to be treated. If you have an altercation with someone else within the group and you can't seem work it out, consult me or another Moderator. We'll handle it if you cannot. Don't make a scene, please.

2. Cursing is permitted within the group, however... There are limitations. You may swear without censoring within the group, but only if it is not directed at an other person. Furthermore, excessive use of obscenities is frowned upon. Every other word in your post does not need to be a swear. Lastly, if another member has a problem with your language and politely asks you to refrain from using it around them, please respect their wishes.

3. Do not spam. I can't stress enough the importance of this rule. There is a topic for spam, and it is called Character-Self Chat. If it is not explicitly specified that you can chat within a topic, don't chat within said topic. Advertising (your own group, your blog, the book you're publishing, et cetera) is absolutely forbidden; posts pertaining to advertisement will be immediately deleted.

4. Respect the Moderators. These are the people I have seemed mature enough to enforce the rules within the group. If we ask you to do something, please do so without complaint. It will make things so much easier for everyone.

5. Proper spelling and grammar are to be used at all times. If you are on this website, I assume you are not a kindergartener. Therefore, I expect you to know and implement the basic rules of spelling and grammar, such as proper punctuation and the capitalization of your I's. "Text talk" (when u typ leik dis lol) is explicitly forbidden.

6. Moderators are not to abuse their power. As I have stated in rule four, Moderators are people in the group that I have deemed able to enforce the rules without making too much of a fuss. This does not, however, mean that you have ultimate power. If I make you a Moderator, act like you are worthy of the position. Be kind to other members if you are correcting behavior. And remember: no matter what, my authority trumps yours. I have the power to remove your status as a Moderator at any time, and I will do so without contacting you beforehand if I deem it appropriate.

Consequences for refusing to adhere to any of these rules vary depending on offense, but could result in anything from a warning to a suspension to a permanent expulsion from the group. You have been warned.
