After reading the Hobbit I didn't felt like I knew the characters enough to pick a favorite one (though I can say I didn't like Thorin at all). But, if I had to pick one of them, I think it would be Dwalin.

My favorite dwarf was Dain Ironfoot. I liked him in the Hobbit, and then after he cut off Azog's head in the appendix of LOTR (after the battle of Azanulbizar with a bitchin' red ax) I was a Dain man all the way. And then he died protecting King Brand during the Battle of Dale at 250-odd years old! He's the dwarf!
Balin, the least greedy/lazy.
Bofur or Balin, or Kili or Fili, or Thorin or Dwalin… basically all of them
