Why is my post not getting responses?

So I posted pretty recently for the first time, and I'm not too surprised I've not gotten any responses yet. I'm curious in general though, how long do I wait with no responses before I try bumping my post? And btw, how do I do that? I've never really used a chat forum setup for anything before; I'm definitely green

You can bump your post after 30 days, so Sept. 30. Your post is still pretty new so don't worry if you don't have any responses yet. It's just waiting for the right person to see it.

Lindsey, to bump your post just make a new comment on it. That'll bump it to the top of the "unread" list for everyone in the group. You can just type "bump" as the comment, or whatever you want.

It's good you put quite a bit of detail in your header too. It drives me mad when people just write 'help' or 'about a dog' or something like that. I like to try and help people find their books, but it annoys the bejeebies out of me to have to click into each one just to see I've never read a book anything like the one they're hunting.

I've not read anything similar to yours, but it sounds interesting enough that I'll keep an eye out and an eye on the thread so I can see if I'd like to read it when found.
