Although I've never read the books, the titles of "Hush, Hush", "Silence", and "Crescendo" do have relevance.
This is just from the top of my head but all three books are referencing sound and, from that, sets the pace or action that will be found in each book.

That's exactly what I was thinking as well but at the same time I just find it such a strange title for the book. Then I thought if each book is referring to the intensity of pace of each book Silence should be named something else that increases the sound from Crescendo. But yeah my thinking was along the lines of what you wrote.

Actually, if you think of it as music, the author titled them in the correct order.
Just like a score of music, you reach the climax and then it falls into a moment of silence. Silence is often associated with reflection, finality (I've read the series was initially to be a trilogy) or a shocking discovery.
A good example of this would be in Pocahontas: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4DE5a... and, since it matches the title of the books perfectly, Mulan: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AARl1...

Yup, in Hush, Hush everything was unknown and secret, plus theres an expression somewhere about 'hush of angels wings', so Ive always thought tied in indirectly as a clue to the theme of the story.
Crescendo was the build up. Where all the stakes were raised.
And Silence often proceeds a storm or follows explosive events. Sometimes silence is given in prayer or out of respect for the fallen after tragedy or in remembrance of battle. And I think Patch was still with holding things back and she felt conflicted.

Crecendo- The big lead up and the stakes were raised.
Silence- Nora lost her memory because Frank brain washed her. So she couldn't say who kidnapped her or anything else. So when you think about it- She was kind of silenced in a way.
