Yeah! I haven't posted the writing yet I keep forgetting to but I have some of the story already. It hit me when I was reading The Maze Runner. If I can find the pages then I will post the beginnings of the story tonight.
PROLOGUE
Melinoe stand over the girl torn. Slightly twisting so she faces her sisters, "This doesn't feel right. It feels more like we are leaving her to die. Isn't there something else we can do?" She begs her sisters.
"No there is nothing we can do to help the girl. It was just a risk to bring her and her gift here. As soon as She finds out there will be Hell to pay as it is. Lets go before the girl awakes," explained hurriedly Devine, Melinoe older sister.
Melinoe opens her mouth to plead more for the girl who lays unconscious before her, but before can get anything out tge oldest sister, Avril, interupts, "Quickly, sisters, we must unleash her powers before the girl awakens." With that the sisters form a triangle around the girls and chant
"Angu thranz masir oquen
Bestgu gizun osferd piytdfg
Bkancd shang ghande mkaz
Dingu panzu weth janbu og"
As the sisters finish their chant light flares up around the girl; blue, green, purple, yellow, starting off as no more than a candle flicker then quickly growing into a supernova.Melinoe turns her eyes away, blinded by the light. Then when the light seems as though it is about to go brighter it flashes out so fast it leaves dancing spots in the girls' eyes. She looks down on the girl and sees on her right hand a symbol of something looking almost like an eye. The Eye of Xanazan.
"This is all we can do for the girl," Avril reassures Melinoe as she also wipes sweat from her forehead. Avril and Devine turn and walk toward the horses. Looking over her shoulder, Avril sees Melinoe still staring at the girl. "Melinoe, there is nothing else we can do for the girl other than let her follow the destiny She has bestowed upon her." Avril tries yet again to reassure her youngest sister as she mounts her steed. "Now let's go!" Avril alurrs her horse into the forest followed by Devine.
Looking behind her to make sure her sisters have truly left, Melinoe kneels down beside the girl and whispers, " You will give your first prophecy to a boy of eighteen and red hair. Look for the town of Druat and find a boy of solitary and thieving hands and ask for a sword finer than steal for it is by him you will train." Melinoe waves her hands over the girls head then stands up. Speaking a simple spell and casting her hands over a fallen log makes a sword of gold and steel appear and next to it a bow and quiver. While the girl will not know who to use the sword, maybe she will remember the bow and arrow, Melinoe thinks to herself as she walks over to her mare. Swinging onto her horse, Melinoe gives the girl one last look before riding into the forest after her sisters.
"Good luck, Alexandria," Melinoe whispers into the wind on the night. "You'll need it."
