Are you reading with us Andy? I'm not sure about the new one yet, lol. Let's get through this one first :)

Scout is a handful! She reminds me of myself at that age. I didn't have a chance too be girly because my 5 brothers kept me tough.

I love the narrator. Sissy Spacek is such a good actress and brings this story to life.

What a heartwarming and insightful story! Atticus was a man who did what was right inspite of opposition. He also did his best to teach his children those same values.

Wow I loved this! Not much conversation about it though :)

I liked Scout as the narrator and that through everything she never lost hope in humanity.

I liked that we saw it through the kid's eyes and that despite their age their knowledge and depth of humanity far exceeded many of the adult characters.

I really want to watch the movie now.

Totally agree. That's what made Atticus such a great character, his willingness to do what was right no matter the opposition.

Of those suggested...

Throne of Glass - have it on hold (looks like it will be a while)
Shards of Hope - have it on hold (finally!!)
Ender's Game, Harry Potter, Mocking Jay I've already read.
Maze Runner - I need to read the first one
Red Queen I've never heard of but it sounds good - have it on hold :)

Monsters of Men I can get now. Let me take a look at the banned book list real quick, too.

I'm still on the waiting list for Dragonbane. I don't think I'm going to continue with Nick's books. They aren't holding my interest as much as I'd like. You ladies can continue with them without me :)

All but the latest book. Loved it! I would definitely re-read it! I will say that the first book will be a little slow because of the word building. At least it was for me. Love Kate Daniels! She is a kick-ass heroine.
