Aedion & Lysandra ~ Pairing Discussion

I hope Aedion isn't gay because I ship him and Lys so badly, they're so great together. Maybe Sarah will add in a new character (though that could get very messy, there is already so many characters) and they could be gay ? Though I doubt that will happen, I have a funny feeling it will be Lorcan.

Agree. Perhaps the gay couple will be one of the cadre members or even the commander Lorcan. I don`t know.

The reason why I think it's Lorcan because he cares that Aedion is Gavriel's son. I mean he could have killed Aedion and no one would have known that he is Gavriel's son. So I think that Lorcan likes or admires Gavriel. This is just a crazy theory.

YEEES ! I noticed that too! He had to care about her (at least a little bit, even as a friend) to do this.

I don't know. I like the possibility of Aedion and Lysandra as a couple. I'm not against it, but I'm not completely for it. I hope Lysandra finds love, she deserves it after everything she's been through.

But seriously, Lysandra is a totally amazing character, she's similar to Aelin in some ways, but in others she's completely unique. I love her strength, and her past history with Aelin back as children is melded nicely with the present in QoS. It's always best when there's history!!! Unlike Nesryn and Sorscha. Ugh.

I saw a picture on SJM pinterest, and it was a women on the back of a tiger/leopard and it was written that the girl is Ansel.

And I remember SJM saying that there would b a gay couple and for a moment, I thought maybe it could be Lys and this Ansel *Noooooo, I want her with Aedioooon*

Well said! I agree, I like how Lysandra fits and she's not some rando that's insantly the new love interest. I definitely hope she and Aedion end up together.

I loved that too. I think that it was so attentive, he is a wild cutie. And after ending QOS I can totally see Elide with Ren. I think Ren is in Terrasen...so if Elide arrives early than Aelin, Ren might be the one to befriend her at first and from there who knows what can happen...

I just thought right now that Elide could be a presence that might soothe Ren and on the other hand Ren could be someone to help unleash more of the wildness in Elide. I would be happy to see this two interacting.

I also live for the day that I can read about Aedion and Lysandra together and their first kiss. I adore them together, they're so fun and they have such stormy tempers that their banter will be otherworldly.

ps: Before ending QOS I thought that Elide and Manon might be a thing but after finishing it I don't think they are going that way...

I thought about something : Aelin and her crew are obviously back to Terrasen and she has a lot of royal cousins. What if one of them tries to "court" Lysandra ? Do you think Aedion will be jealous ?

What if Aedion and Lysandra are mates? That would be just... WOAH.
Just imagine a scene where Lysandra has shifted form and is playing games with Aedion but things get serious and they share their feelings while holding each other and then Lysandra's name slips out of Aedion's mouth and she asks him how he knew it was her and he replies,
"I'd know you anywhere, love"

That would be awsome but Aedion is the kind of funny guy, not the romantic one. That´s what I like of him. Their romance would be so playful and lovely... I can´t wait to see what happen with them.

I hated when Aedion called Lysandra "A lying bitch" at the end. Come on man, she saved your ass and she is only following orders. Nevertheless, I ship them to hell.

I was really taken back you know but I guess I fel him. Unfortunately, I think he is a little bit sidelined when it comes to Aelin's plan, he like everyone else discovers every scheme at the end. But that's not a reason to get mad at Lysandra.

Aedion has a lot of misplaced anger; Dorian, Gavriel, Lysandra, Aelin. Just about everyone, really. During that final scene, though, that's more grief and guilt and fear that causes him to lash out at Lysandra. Yeah, he's angry, too. I think Aedion is more of a control freak than any of them. He's angry that Aelin shares her plans with Lysandra, but not him. And also, I think, that Lysandra keeps Aelin's secrets. There's probably some jealousy in there, too. But I don't think he understands how deep Lysandra's loyalty toward Aelin goes, nor how much the queen means to the shape-shifter.

Whilst Aedion was really harsh towards Lysandra at the end of the book, I think he was just super emotional at the time. Having lost Aelin who he cares for so much and once again he was excluded from the plans. He just lashed out and I'm sure in the next book he'll come to understand their decision.

I never really like Aedion, but then I started to like him in Empire of Storms, but that was really just because I thought he and Lysandra liked each other and I wanted her to be happy

I love Aedion, really. Like hell. He does love Lyss, and actually, HE DID HAVE A REASON TO BE MAD! not toward Lyssandra, but at the damned situation: No spoilers but, he was planned to be used, I repeat USED (just like Lyssandra) if suddenly somebody comes with you and ask you what Aelin asked from Lyssandra and Aedion you will be pissed! I know that this is for the biggest good, but in the end, both of them are planned to be damn used like a damn pure breed horse!
