message 51: by Mallory (new)

Mallory Joey couldn't help but smile a bit when Coco responded to his question. He was glad that she was into music, even if it was generations before himself. She never said that she didn't enjoy modern music, though, which was always a good thing. Perhaps they had some of that in common. "I love them," he said, turning his head to look at her before continuing to keep an eye on the roads and streets. "Jazz used to be a big thing for me, especially as a kid. My dad used to say I was born with a golden sax mouthpiece between my lips," Joey smiled at the thought of his parents. They weren't something he brought into conversation often, but when he did, it was almost always good memories. "but I'm not into that much anymore. Don't get me wrong, it's an amazing genre. I've been into classic rock lately, though, a little bit of modern punk." He absentmindedly took a hold of Coco's hands, dragging her off the sidewalk and into the middle of the street to cross sides. The restaurant wasn't more than a few feet away, and the next legal crosswalk was more than a block away from where they would have to be. It was a few moments before he realized what action he had taken, and instantly released her hand from his own. "Sorry," he breathed out, unsure if she would become upset over his gesture.
